Gentlemen, wanting to put together some Louisiana distilled/aged whiskeys for my next blind tasting. What are some of the ones y'all like or would suggest? From a quick online search I've found:
J.T. Melleck
Bayou Terrebonne (good earth, LA1)
Distillerie Acadian (t-moon, cajun's cut)
NOLA Distillery (cattle drive bourbon, copper tear)
Seven Three Distillery (bywater bourbon, bywater 4-grain)
Sugarfield Spirits

Of this list I've only had the Sugarfield and I wasn't exacly blown away by it.

I think they may still have some of those… they did somewhat recently and had dropped the price.

We still have a little of our barrel pick Bywater at Diversion Pizza. I was very pleased with this barrel at 113 proof

I'm assuming they haven't done private barrels of the double oak yet. If/when it happens, you deserve to be in on the first pick.

For comparison to my first pour

I think so. Is there a mark on it to tell?

The second edition was the Guinness cask, third was charred oak.

Can’t remember if the first edition (think it was 2020) had a special cask finish. I remember it was good but it didn’t last long enough to compare it directly to the other 2
