Do you frequently shoot?
Are you often in situations where you could be assaulted?
Do you otherwise have a fear for your life?

If the answer to the above 3 questions is ‘no’ then why are you buying up all the damn ammo and guns?

Step back and take a deep breath

I’d rather be considered a lunatic but prepared than cool and unprepared. And I’m not bankrupting myself preparing for ridiculous contingencies but having plenty of ammunition isn’t something I’m ever going to feel bad about.

Man, I just need a box of .270 win mag hunting bullets to hunt with. All these people buying everything up for situations that will never occur can GFY.

I did.

I don't get to choose the time when (hopefully never) it happens. I'd rather be ready.

No. I'm pretty good at recognizing dangerous situations and withdrawing from them.

Because I want to. I'm not irrational enough to think that citizens could stand a chance against todays military with our AR15s but I still like to have enough ammo to not be picky about what I hunt.

Maybe you should have done a little bit better job at being prepared.

Its almost like there were hundreds of riots across the country for months in 2020 where innocent people were assaulted, buildings were burned, and law enforcement was not allowed to step in to stop these riots.

Lets just say, I understand why people would want to be prepared just in case a situation like that would possibly occur in their area.

Not to mention some people shoot as a hobby, and you would be surprised how quickly you can go though a bulk amount of ammo if you shoot regularly.

I shot 600 rds through my glock in a weekend back in July. That was the last time I practiced. Scared to shoot if I can't replace it lol. I have plenty of hollowpoints but not as much range ammo as I like.

I haven't shot much lately either. I have plenty of ammo for the guns I own other than my 45 but I'm going to conserve it while it's difficult to get more.

I’d love to go out to the range and practice at 300 yards, but I’m not going to blow through my hunting ammo at the range

Stop telling other people how to spend their money. That is a socialist mindset.

This year I was tracking a deer and had 1 .270 bullet slide out of the bullet holder that slides on the butt of the gun.

I looked for that 1 round for like 30 minutes.

I’ve had to rotate 3 guns this year due to not being able to find ammo for them. This won’t happen again

If I spend more than 5 minutes on the poli board at any one time, I convince myself I need to find a couple hundred more rounds to add to my stash!!!
