So the saints wouldn’t sign off but the Vikings have no problem. I’m a Vikings fan now

I’d feel bet if the Vikings tried to keep him

Heck, as many subtle jabs as Orgeron took at Aranda this past year, I'd steer Orgeron down the wrong path if I were Aranda.

Fairly unexciting hire. His recent body of work isn't inspiring. He did have some success as a DC but it came at a low level a decade ago. I'll give him a chance but this definitely feels like the 3rd or 4th choice hire we know it to be. I'm pleased he didn't hire another one of his 70 year old USC glory days guys but meh

I think T-Derek forgot to tell Feldman they only needed like a level 8 spin job on this one.

The guy had coached with Dave Aranda and Mike Zimmer. Those are two of the best defensive minds in all of football. You don’t think he picked up anything from coaching with them?

The beat writers started laying the groundwork for this one yesterday with the “we really liked him early on in the process”

Now they’re billing him as an Aranda protege you know the guy who’s D couldn’t get away from fast enough

that's not really responsive to the post your replied to

and even so, the fact he was a positional coach around 2 DCs doesn't really prove he can run a D

Neither did Joe Brady and he is now calling plays for Carolina and a hot name for becoming an NFL head coach. Also Ryan Nielsen never called a defensive play but was promoted by the Saints to DC.

You are just another no nothing about football negative blowhard. Tulane could use you as a fan.

Plenty of people around great defensive minds have been garbage when promoted. It doesn’t mean anything.

Fact remains that Oregon is embarrassing himself and the program with this search. He’s hired one DC and it was an epic failure.

He has now hired 3 coordinators with 1 hit and 2 epic fallouts with firings after one year. Chances are more likely that he’ll miss than hit.

Hate on Bowie all you want, but don’t say he hasn’t run a defense. You’re gonna have to define “meaningful”. He’s definitely designed and run a more meaningful defense than Ryan Nielsen ever did.

It could work but idk how this excites anyone. If he makes over 1.3 with his resume then Woodward is the laziest frick on campus

Don’t waste your posts. These people thought Pelini was a slam dunk. This is a meh hire as it gets when you are coming off the worst defense in the history of the program.

The excuse “well at least we can’t get worse or it’s a better hire than Pelini” is such a sophomoric take. The guys resume is meh...

I could at least get behind the logic of the OC/PGC hire. This is turd city.

#1 Defense in D2. That’s not nothing. Are we happy?

Um, no.

I’ll give the guy a chance of course but I am Mostly just anxious.

This isn’t a sure fire slam dunk hire. Let’s be real.

I dont Want to shite on the guy but it’s hard to get really excited about a question mark.I don’t know enough to say anything really about the hire which is of course a source of anxiety.
