Can’t do worse than Bo. I just hope Raymond is ok with it.

Well no one can prove they can run things as a coordinator until they get an opportunity(Joe Brady). I’m not saying this hire is great or will even work out, but I think this guy deserves a chance and the support from the fanbase until he gives a reason to think otherwise. It’s not like he has scrubs to work with.

If he fields an elite D next year, this board will claim anyone could do it with this roster.

One can always count on the vocal minority of Tiger fans to be never satisfied and inconsistent in their criticisms.

He sounds like a wonderful young up-and-coming coach who hopefully can recruit elite talent and relate well to the young men he's training.

I’m not going to hate on the hire. It’s not an old white guy bbq buddy.

Willing to give the guy a shot. But if we do suck, I’m done with O.

We didn’t hire a D2 coordinator. We hired an NFL position coach with D2 coordinator experience. Someone who did so well in D2 that major colleges and eventually the NFL came calling. There’s a difference. I can tell you’re going to hate on this no matter what, however, so you just continue being you.

I’ll take this over Richard and a couple of the other potential disaster retread names that were out there. However, that doesn’t make Jones a good hire. From a perception point of view, it’s not good until/unless he proves otherwise on the field. Until then, it will be seen as a risky, down the list hire.

In reality, a competent defense should be enough to win a lot of games next year. As long as Jones and the rest of the staff we put together can manage that, he will probably be seen as a success. Bo set a low bar, but Jones will need to be at least average in the SEC next year to get on the right side of this fanbase.

Nothing points to this being a homerun/LSU caliber hire. Not hating on the guy, but yikes

I’m in. I’m gonna support the decision and ride with it. There are positives there, and it can turn out to be in LSUs greatest interest.

Let’s geaux

I disagree, and recent history says that is complete nonsense. If he fields a good defense, I, and anyone else should be ready to ride because we will win big again.

It’s sort of like after the sequel to a hit movie bombs on the next one they advertise it like “from one of the 6 writers from the original that you liked REMEMBER?”

LSU spent 4M buyout for this.

Orgeron, tell me you quit without telling me you quit.

Whatever your position is you shouldn’t have to defend it against this clown show of a hire. Of all the folks in all the programs he could hire, he chose this guy.

World class program LSU is running.
