No, you had Special Forces troops doing laps around FOBs in places DOD definitely didn't want threat groups to know about. It was a real problem for a little bit.

I just wonder if at some point the people who gaslight the country will go "oh shite we actually went too far this time."
I guarantee you some people were thinking that last week. Unfortunately, a lot of them are doubling down on it now and the results are going to be predictable and awful.

There's absolutely no way these people think that.
1. They're power hungry narcissists
2. They know they have the power to create any reality they wish to create
3. They know any attempt to have that same power used against them is useless because, again, they have the power to create the perception of reality the wish to create. Case in point is the "nuclear option". They praised Harry Reid for invoking it, then 5 years later they said Mitch McConnell should be jailed for doing the exact same thing and everyone in the media agreed.
