Because Trump doesn't control the Capitol Police? And the mobilization of other resources takes longer than an hour?
Trump only offered to send in agents after state and local government refused to fricking do anything about the rioters.

If you knew anything at all you would know that the National Guard is positioned in areas before or after a confrontation or event..they arent sent in during the middle of a confrontation.

You need to read better. My comment about state and local police was about his comments about Portland and other cities where Trump offered federal resources to secure federal property.

The better question, ma'am, is why you are not comparing the two?
I, personally, view the riots over the Summer as much more dangerous and damaging to our country. Of course, I am one who does not subscribe to the belief that those in DC are any more important than business owners and innocent civilians in the crosshairs of those riots. In fact, I'd argue that they are far less important, as they produce nothing, they contribute nothing, and by and large they are all failures at the job they are supposed to be doing.
