think if Fields got into a good organization he'd be ok, but he won't have a career if the Jets take him.

He would definitely benefit from a redshirt year

Great take

Agreed. Also accurate. OSU's & the Big 10 administration got what they deserved last night. Florida, Clemson or A&M would have probably given us like at least 2 whole quarters before folding

He's good but has flaws. I don't think him or Lawrence will be great QBs.

It’s not happening but another season of CFB would really help him. He’s still pretty raw.

NFL scouts must be OSU homers too since he’s a 1st Round grade for draft pick.

NFL scouts are wrong all the time and this is a message board, build for such conversation.

That being said, I think Fields is pretty good. I do think he needs to work on his progressions, but he throws an accurate, pretty ball most of the time and is a great athlete.

So was Dwayne Haskins

He was hurt

He wasn't hurt against NW with a garbage 12/27/114/0/2 stat line.

Clemson was his only good game against a team with a winning record. And that probably had more to do with their charmin secondary than Fields's ability.

He's another haskins. Looks good against the Big ten. He couldn't make it in the SEC, that's why he transferred

Watching Justin Fields last night and throughout his career, he’s not very good.

So the MSB thinks both Fields and Trevor Lawrence. Well who exactly is good?

Call me crazy but Myles Brennan impress me more. He was slinging it downfield nonstop like a pro-qb. Will shock everyone next season.

I think one of the most difficult things for NFL scouts to evaluate is QBs from those top-5 programs. Their entire offense has advantages at every position for 80% of the games they play. Then they get to the NFL and it's a completely different game.

I have no idea if Fields or Mac Jones will be good in the NFL. Most of it will come down to the organization that drafts them and how patient they are with development.

I don't think another year is going to help him at the collegiate level, though. His main problem will only be exacerbated at the pro level.

I don't think his problem is just locking on to the initial receiver. Based on watching just about all of his games last year and this year, his problem has always been holding on to the ball way too long, as though he has the luxury of staring at a menu before making his order. Even against weaker Big Ten defenses I've seen this lapse many times. He's been pummeled and injured by mediocre Big Ten defenses. Just not a good sign.

I just want to say though, he throws many beautiful passes when he lets them fly.

Kirby Smart thought so, but Kirby thinks defenses when championships.

Yeah, but Haskins’s biggest skill weakness (downfield accuracy) is one of Fields’s biggest strengths. Not to mention, it appears Haskins biggest problem overall (regardless of skill) is his attitude, work ethic, and just overall common sense (the partying video), a recipe for disaster for anyone. So if Fields avoids that recipe, he should be a lot more successful, especially since he’s got better tools.

I don’t think he’s terrible but I’d be wary of drafting him really high.

He hit some great deep shots in the Clemson game. I thought even on some tough medium length sideline routes, he did well in the games I saw. Do you think he will have a better career than Tua? I do.

He was really good vs Clemson. Deep throws, tight windows. Bama was just a different animal with the ability to score at will.
