“Nice” here means it’s supposed to be a good date. It’s not inexpensive. You’re not getting out of there for under $120 after an app, two entrees, and a bottle of wine (or equivalent).

“Forgettable” means you went there once, and that was enough.

Mine, Palermo.

Go!

Not sure about it’s current situation but Juban’s always seemed like the most overrated place in town to me.

Galatoire’s, no surprise it’s closed now.

After that, probably Juban’s, also closed.

Is this where we bash someone's restaurant?

If so, Francois' Cafe'.

I really don't like these threads, but I dislike Francois more.

Went there once and my wife said it looked like food served on a domestic flight

I was going to say Jubans. I used to like that place but the past two times we've been it wasn't that great for the price.

It’s ok. Not more than 30 people will read these.

Yeah I used to like it as well. I think they just got lazy and were passed up by other restaurants over the years.

They’ve beaten the spread and lasted longer than I thought

Great call!! Mine too.

I’m very easy to please at a restaurant and certainly not picky, but the food was awful. I’d have been willing to chalk it up to a bad order on my part if it wasn’t ridiculously expensive. No app. Wife got a side salad and entree but didn’t drink. I had one glass of wine and an entree. Was almost $100 before tip

I’m curious why? That’s my favorite restaurant, probably bc it seems a bit unknown but is consistently delicious
