TJ will do well if he transfers. He is definitely a talented QB. The problem is that LSU is lucky enough to have several talented guys at the position. If LSU had more than 1 black guy at QB and TJ didn’t win the job, what would his parents excuse be at that point? I hope they don’t hurt his future by being idiots.

What’s bad about the situation is TJ is a great young man and very respectful. Maybe he will stick it out and win the job!! I hope he does!

No I disagree. His reason for quitting is he wants to play. But when you are not as good as the ones in front of you, not many reps are going to come your way. He needs to transfer and I don't fault him for that. This is not to be confused with the quitters in my opinion.

TJ needs to improve on his accuracy (one of the hardest things to do) if he wants to compete with this group of QBs.

Actually ole miss DL was as bad as South Carolina DL, so that’s why the OL “looked” like they just so happened to have played better when MJ was in the game. A QB knowing where to throw pre snap surely helps the line by being able to get the ball out fast, along with being able to escape pressure ( not giving up sacks ).

Is it really shocking or disappointing that TJ is considering transferring (assuming Brennan returns).

So where is this rumor been verified? I ve only seen this talked about on TD with no backup links.

I like TJ a lot as a prospect, for a true freshman he has great pocket presence and is well prepared. Needs to work on touch on his ball and moving around in the pocket to avoid the rush but he’s got a lot of potential, I’d hate for us to lose him.

Finley got more of a fair shot than Max if we’re being real. Pretty short sighted on their part. I really have a hard time believing he’ll get recruited by a big time school if he leaves to play elsewhere.

His talent is overrated. He has good arm strength and that’s about it. He has no touch and limited accuracy. He is a big body but can’t run. Mentally, he may have it he may not, TBD. He looks like he has above average Sunbelt potential. Give me Max, Brennan, and Nuss over him all day.

Everyone knows that arm strength is the most overrated attribute for a QB.

Even when people like you try to be subtle in your racism and bigotry, it still is obvious. I don't blame any black player for not wanting to play here. You demean and bash players wanting to leave while at the same time you see Joe Burrow as a hero. For the people for whom it fits, you are simply a reflection of why this state is seen as the bigoted, racist place that it is and a true laughingstock.

When only one can be on the field at a time... to them I'm sure it is. I think position matters a lot with the transfers.

WR should be more patient imo since they rotate 3-4 and have plenty chances to step on the field. I don't really fault any QB who sees the writing on the wall and is 3rd, 4th, 5th on the depth chart.

Just don't say you didn't get a fair shot when you started half the season..

I don't blame QBs for transferring if they think they won't play. There's a limited window to play college ball, and usually only 1 QB is the man. It's not like WR where multiple guys are on the field.

Players want to play - not sit on the bench and hope they get a chance at some point. So I don't blame guys one bit for transferring.

For those that disagree, I have two words for you: Joe Burrow.

QB’s who get stuck down the depth chart do transfer.

But TJ started games as a true FR and was the first QB to start after Myles went down.

And it’s far from certain the pecking order now esp with no OC.

With Nuss coming in of course you expect a transfer but if he leaves now without even competing in the Spring? Let’s just say he has no chest.

QB's transfer. It's what they do. Let's not pretend that one of Max or Nuss won't transfer in the next two years, as well.

Im very confused by TJ's logic.

Did he not commit here thinking that Myles would be the starter for possibly 2 more years? We arent even half way through the point that he should have been prepared to be chilling in obscurity on the bench.
