I Always Figured One of Either TJ or Max Was Eventually Going to Transfer

Is it really shocking or disappointing that TJ is considering transferring (assuming Brennan returns). The QB room was going to be crowded with the 3 mentioned plus Nuss. Really can’t fault him and/or question his “chest” if TJ decides to move on.

It's too soon to quit after only one year that didn't even count towards eligibility.

Sure you can. Maybe a full spring of competing and film room would change things but this generation...

nuss looked good running RPO in HS. if we get peetz who is good at teaching RPO like he has done at bama and carolina oh boy. maximus looked good this season doing a zone read and has legs he just needs to incorporate RPO now like brennan was doing and of course jugular joe did it all, qb draws, RPO, zone read. QB room looks good especially if we get peetz.

Is there a clear 1,2, and 3? Compete until you are told you are the 3. You may improve and beat the others out. He has the talent to do so. Just needs to eliminate the mental errors/turnovers.

Dude has a bunch of talent. But if you see the comments that his mom was making, they think that he isn’t getting a fair shot to play.

That’s what I don’t get. Someone was transferring specially if Brennan fully heals. By the end of the season, it was clear Finley was 3rd in line and now with the talk of Nuss battling to start or backup, it’s a no brainer decision by him.

Yeah well she can have that opinion but TJ got plenty of chances and did Ok given the circumstances. That was clear to everyone who watched the games. MJ just was better as of now.

Which is such a bullshite excuse. The kid literally got starts in 5 out of 10 games this season. He has an attitude problem. When Max came to the sideline against Florida to sit next to Finley on the bench and TJ got up and walked to the other end of the field, that tells you all you need to know about his character. The guy is not a team player whatsoever and could care less if LSU wins or loses. All he cares about is his shine. And when Coach O pulled him he showed us his true colors.

At first I thought this was going to be a thread about the retail store TJ Maxx splitting up

Folks need to chill on forcing this QB transfer narrative. It’s like y’all are so scarred for never having it you’re afraid of QB depth. I for one would really enjoy a normal QB room for once instead of counting on quick fixes constantly.

From the aloofness I saw, I’m not surprised if he left.

I think there was some influence on some of these players, whether inside or outside.

TJ didn’t quit, though.

Like I’ve said on several posts you aren’t winning an sec championship with him! His parents aren’t helping his case either. Playing the race card.

How do were they better for MJ than TJ? It was basically the same guys out there. Could it be that MJ’s style of play (dual threat) was a reason that the OL to played better? I assume defenses would prefer not having to account for QB runs.

He got FIVE STARTS!! After his performance against A&M, he can take a good look in the mirror as to the reason he didn’t start the next game @Florida!!

Big time. Her fb post about Justin Fields talking about ‘I’m sure he would’ve loved to play for his home state of Georgia, but he had to go where he would be celebrated and not just tolerated in the QB room’ made me laugh so hard. Like bruh, TJ isn’t just tolerated. He had a chance to cement himself as QB2 next year and then compete to take over when Myles graduates. He made some great throws and looked like our next great QB at times, and then at times he couldn’t hit water throwing out of a boat. I wish him nothing but the best of luck, but man, that kid needs to put some healthy distance between his collegiate career and his parents.

If anything TJ was given better opportunities than Max. Max just made sure to take advantage of his when given. If Max sees the field first over TJ he would’ve not looked back. TJ would have probably quit mid season.
