I’m sure I’m late to this conversation but I’ve tried multiple times to buy ammunition and can’t find certain high powered ammunition?

Hoarders that think they need 1000 rounds of 30-30 for the Zombies or when the government come to take R guns

30-30 for the Zombies

I love 30-30s, shot my first deer with one. But that is quite possibly the worst zombie gun ever, short of no gun. When I used to hunt primarily with 3030, it wasn't all that easy to find a lot of rounds back then, so I'm not surprised. Supposedly the manufacturers are claiming they are making ammo every day and its still sold out. Time to start reloading I guess. I always wanted to get into it anyway.

I bought lots of ammo and reloading supplies years ago. I was rummaging through one of the storage cases for some target 12ga ammo and came across a few 1000rd cases of PMC Bronze 5.56, 5-cases of Federal XM855, and several boxes of various .30-06, .308, .30-30. Stuff I had forgotten about because my ammo cabinet is full and I thought whatever in there was all the rifle and pistol ammo I had.. I've got tons of reloading supplies that are still in the moving boxes from over 4 years ago.

The moral here, don't wait until you actually need it. Take a good look at the FBI NICS, millions of new gun owners = demand outstripping supply until manufacturers can adjust.

Civil unrest and a lack of response by law enforcement resulting in record breaking gun sales driven by the natural instinct of self preservation.

It was like an extra Christmas gift finding the PMC cases. Seeing the $399 written in sharpie on them was a bit sobering though.

You can but you will pay a premium for any ammo you buy.

Cartels need ammo to fight the drug wars in Mexico to supply the US’s insatiable appetite. Obviously that’s not all of the problem, but it’s growing larger and larger each year.

There is something along the lines of 2-3 million new gun owners in the US.

If each buys 2 boxes of ammo what does that leave?

I wouldn’t call me a hoarder but I have enough to get me by all this. But I’m reloading...

Savvy folks are using bots to buy all available ammo and then reselling it at a profit - artificially driving up the price and effectively creating scarcity in an already scarce market.

You can buy ammo, if you have the available funds.

This is why I went 7.62.

There is no limit as of now and there has always been some there. Some laquered shite sometimes. I just skip on those.

Won't find them in the stores. Gunbroker for about $2 a primer.
Powder is tough to find also.

I have enough primers to last me awhile. I learned from that shite the last few times.

For sure... On a lark, I called a pawn shop that carries hadloading supplies 45 min away in El Dorado, AR. While he didn't have ANY primers, but did have $30,000 of primers on backorder.
