Now the question is who is on O’s list for coordinator positions. He can’t afford to screw these hires up

good lawyers could probably at least make it a plausible enough threat to get the buyout into single digits.

Like 5 bucks?

Personally? I’m good with giving O a year to try and fix this mess and take a stand against some of the outside forces. Apparently recruiting isn’t taking a hit and the players leaving has been exaggerated. This year has just been a perfect shite storm. The interview, O’s personal life, the loss of Brady/Aranda, the draftees, the opt outs, Brennan getting injured...and not to mention the pandemic that just ruined any type of momentum we did have.

am actually starting to blame Scott Woodward.

About time. He is a major part of the problem. He sold LSU Athletics out to the SJW crowd at the expense of a large portion of the fan base.

Hopefully O realizes his job is riding on getting the next hires right. No more buyouts. No more do overs. No more bbq buddies from his USC days.

We weren’t going to come anywhere close to last year

No one. Literally NO ONE expected him to repeat last year. NO ONE.

We expected him to repeat the last 20 years where even when we’re bad we put a respectable goddamn product out on the field instead of the worst fricking team in living memory.

We expected to hold on to a very talented freshman and build our way back to dominance next year with an Elite defense.

What we didn’t expect is to the hire the man responsible FOR THE WORST frickING DEFENSE IN THE HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL while in the process watching the players dive off the ship like it’s on fire.

LSU has been playing football for ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN YEARS and this is the worst goddamn defense this school has ever seen.

None of that is excusable I don’t give a frick how good last year was.

Is Woodward going to be in charge in hiring the next DC and OC?

He had Derek write the hit piece following the UW loss on his site and let the snow ball go from there.

Once Ed got the interim tag he was never giving it up. Still has people fooled on who he is but he’s beginning to show it as things unravel.

^This.
I'm not sure O can remake the culture. If your main tactic is emotional hype and players have started tuning you out, it's hard to get that back. I think coaches will be wary of coming to work for him unless he eats some humble pie and lets them run their side of the ball.

The interview, O’s personal life,

I have zero desire to air out Coach Os personal life. But at the same time it’s applicable.

I think his divorce has him messed up. Rightfully so no shame there. The man was happy to win a national championship and go eat a ham sandwich with his wife post game. That’s a happily married man. He also spoke of her as motivational in every interview. Kelly encouraged him to look for something better after USC didn’t hire him. She was a rock for him.

He files for divorce suddenly, loses a shite ton of weight, and has career issues. Has his nudes leak. From all the optics Coach O was not in the wrong to file for divorce. But man, I hate it for the guy. It’s clearly taken a toll on him. Just watch interviews from December of 2019 to now. It’s insane how thin he is.

I hope he can find some inner peace and right the ship if he survives this season

O is the problem. This is delaying the inevitable. His MO is blame the assistant.

I’m glad to see Bo out....but Ed’s ability to distance himself from his bad hires, toss them under the bud, and escape accountability is amazing

Yeah Ed turns out making a guy no one was trying to hire one the highest paid DCs in football was a bad idea.

Yeah Ed replacing your young innovative OC with an old OC from the NFL most famous for getting fired at every stop...was a bad fricking idea.

But people keep giving O credit for “correcting the mistakes” yeah well when the university keeps cutting the checks for your frick ups, it’s not hard. How about you quit fricking up and making shite hires ?

Hopefully the DC hire will be a young energetic coach like Marcus Freeman. Someone who can relate to the players and played the game this century.
