If you are buying a set of 4 brand new, which tire company do you put your faith in? Specifically for a V8 sedan.
And which brands do/would you stay away from?

Whichever brand supports 100+ MPH runs for extended periods of time so I can actually produce gas.
ETA: If one of y'all can link that legendary thread for proper context, that would be great.

I’ve been running Michelin for the last 500,000 miles or so. Better than Cooper, plus I get them for about 430.00 a set.

The answer is Michelin and has been that way for many years. Unless you have a niche application the top Michelin tire for a CAR will be the top one or two tires and if they aren't first the difference will be minuscule.
People often cheap out on tires but it is the most important safety equipment you change regularly on a car and they often lose track of the fact the performance difference is often fairly close in the first 5,000 miles but you need to be concerned with the performance of the tires in the last 10,000 miles of use which is where the huge differences tend to show up.

Tires aren’t tires. Much if it is about the specs your car or truck requires or you want. Sure Michelin typically makes a great tire, but what do you need out of a tire - Z rating, run flat, track like handling or just a general tire, etc.

I’ve been running BF Goodrich KO2’s on all of my vehicles since high school. They’re great.
Edit: just noticed you’ve got a V8 sedan.. not going to work for you. But what kind of sedan do you have with a V8???
