People bitch about the western formula then bitch again when info is actually given and the plot moves forward. No winning.

could be a possible foreshadow for Mando being a Jedi?

This is stupid. Mando being a Jedi would not work. I can believe him being an important person in helping reintroduce the jedi order but making him a jedi has about the same reaction as making Leia a jedi. It's overkill and unnecessary. Too many jedi and force users.

really? Too many? Please name all the Jedi that adding one more would be "too much".

I wonder which Jedi will hear Grogu’s call and come to them?

Would sith or anyone strong in the dark side of the force also be able to hear that call?

One interesting thing is the Darksaber was made for Tarre Vizla the first Mandalorian to become a Jedi... hmmm.

Could Din Djarin be on a path to be united with the Darksaber?

Would one of you Star Wars nerds (I mean that in the best way) want to do a little project?

I’d like a ‘dummies guide to Mandalorian’.

Something that summarizes when the story is taking place, what led up to it, important characters and their back story, etc.

I’ve seen all of the movies, but not Clone Wars or Rebels or read any books.

Maybe even talk about the different planets and their significance.

A timeline would be interesting also.

And a guide to ‘watch or read this’ for more info.

Is it just me or is naming The Child as well as revealing he’s just another Jedi youngling kind of deflate the mystery around the show?

I feel like all the tension in the balloon just popped.

It's just you.

I think the fact that he's been trained at the temple and purposefully hid his powers to survive makes it even more interesting.

What did he see or experience that made him do that? Who took him from the Jedi temple?

What does Mando's connection with the kid really mean? What will his role be going forward with him?

What Jedi (or Sith) will answer his call at the Temple? What doors will that open depending on who shows up?

Pretty much every important character seems to be jedi related. A Mandalorian is formidable enough NOT to need a jedi skillset to be a strong character in the story.

So baby yoda might end up being bad?

I remember when I pointed out this possibility during season 1 and was roundly mocked for it.

I pointed out the fact that his eyes turned red when he got pissed off in one particular episode. Now we find out Ahsoka won't train him to be a Jedi because she senses much fear and anger in him, much like another well known Jedi. If I can speculate a bit further before I head back to lurking, why do you suppose the remnants of the Empire want a young, perhaps angry Jedi in training? Maybe those reasons are the same reasons he was taken from the temple, hidden away and forgotten to begin with.

When it comes to SW information Youtube is literally packed with it. I bet there are 50 different videos on each Mandolorian episode alone.

Good episode. Dawson is kind of a flake, but she's still a very good actress. I knew she'd be a good Ahsoka. I like the story so far, but the episodes are so short that it's hard to really savor it. If the seasons were longer, I wouldn't mind, but we seem to be living in a really lazy era for TV producers.

The kid's name is a little disappointing for some reason. He doesn't look like a Grogu. I'm pretty sure pop culture will still call him baby Yoda.

So will Disney have the balls to have Luke (player by Sebastian Stan) be the one to feel Gorgu’a presence? Will they go with Ezra? Another Jedi in hiding?

Another fantastic episode. Told my wife, who isn't a big SW fan, that there was a disturbance in the force, as if millions of star wars geeks roared at one word. Thrawn! Rosaria Dawson did an excellent job as Ahsoka and the fx were spot on.

I don't think we will see Mando welding force powers and if at some point the series goes that way, I'll be very disappointed.

A question for those with knowledge of the mouse Star Wars. Was the planet they were on Korriban? I listened to the name of the planet spoken a couple times and sounded like Korriban. Is Korriban not a Sith world in the Mouse universe?

I have to say, seeing light sabers vs. beskar was just awesome.

When Ahsoka dropped down on Mando, this was me

I’m on this side. I love this show as it is. I love the western, multiple side quest aspect and I would prefer the fanfic obsessions to stay out of this shows writers room. I would be extremely disappointed if it turned out that Mando was some super Boba Jedi.

I'm sure those are great. I get the most bang for my buck from:

Star Wars Theory (the best)
Emergency Awesome
Star Wars Meg

Maybe Mando’s line “a Jedi teaming up with a mandalorian, they’d never expect it” could be a possible foreshadow for Mando being a Jedi?

But that would make Ahsoka the mandalorian which we know isn't true.

Foreshadowing is something that makes sense at the time it was said, in the current context, which ALSO comes to have an additional meaning at some point in the future which the audience doesn't know about yet.

Mando theoretically referring to himself as "the Jedi" in the current context would make sense in the future if that's what he is, but it doesn't make sense in the current context because that would make Ahsoka the Mandalorian.

I'm not sure "saved" is the appropriate terminology here.
