The force ghost of Anakin will contact Aosoka and convince Aosoka to help Goru reveling he died a Jedi and killed the emperor.

100% Gideon is tracking Mando, Bo Kataan is tracking Gideon and Aosoka knows more than she is telling Mando. The mention of Thrawn leads to Ezra maybe showing up. There will be a huge reveal in the last two episodes.

My only hope is that they form their own order with no ties to Luke's order.

Can I just say the one thing that annoys me the most about the new EU content is how important certain characters are to their respective media (re-occuring characters in the novels and in the TV shows), yet it's just bizarre that they're never mentioned once in any of the films?

Lets take Ashoka for example. It was already a stretch to bring her into TCW given that she's never even hinted at in Revenge of the Sith, through the years, they've made her out to be this hugely important character. Thanks to the Mandalorian, I'm to believe that she has stayed alive throughout the entire timeline of the OT yet the longer she stays alive, it just continues to introduce more and more plotholes. Is it truly in chararacter for her to play zero role whatsoever in Luke's training as a Jedi?

What could she have been doing during the entire time of the original trilogy that would be more important than helping the son of her Jedi master and the Rebel Alliance overthrow the Empire?

The new canon Thrawn novels are excellent, and Chaos Rising was much better than Treason. I can’t wait for the second novel in the second trilogy.

This is something they have likely, intentionally, not touched yet. She goes dark for a few years after her encounter with Darth Vader. Lucasfilm hasn’t touched it.

I personally feel like this should have been when she and Sabine search for Ezra. Not after the war 6 years later.

Because they don't know how to explain it yet

It doesn't mean that they won't ever, but anything of real consequence in the new EU happens at such a glacial pace, it may be years before that gap is filled in.

So Ahsoka is able to hold her own against the likes of Darth Vader and Darth Maul, but struggles in battle against the Magistrate?

I enjoyed the episode, but that shouldn't have been a close fight.

I keep seeing this pop up. Maybe the magistrate was a bit of a badass. She obviously could throw down, so everybody just enjoy the scrap. I know Jedi are incredible fighters but they are not gods. Heck Ahsoka knew very well what mando was, and that he may be hunting her. She even had the jump on him and he was more than capable of defending himself.

Don’t get me wrong Ahsoka is awesome. But enjoy the fact the Star Wars universe has some awesome characters, who can battle, that are not Jedi. It’s a positive imho.

Also, Ahsoka did not want to kill the magistrate, needed information.

Very, very happy with how they played Ahsoka and the trajectory of the series now.

Isn’t it nice to see a character win a fight with tenacity and perseverance instead of going god mode every time? Adds a little substance to the characters.

Ashoka was in Star Wars Rebels as one of the main people basically behind creating the rebellion to fight the Empire. She was working with Leia and others. In Rebels the Ghost and some of the crew were actually in Rogue One.

During the OT timeline based off canon not EU she was out looking for Ezra with Sabine.

One of the reasons for staying alive as well after Order 66 is because she had already left the Order prior to that.

So yes in regards to not helping Luke as she did not consider herself a Jedi anymore and she would not have been privy to the birth of Luke or Leia at the time. Ashoka wanted to keep her identity unknown as well as only what three people even knew of Luke. Even Luke did not know who his father was until the end of ESB.

I'm thinking he was intentionally kept alive.

That was my first thought, as well - that Palpatine spared Grogu from Order 66.

If Favreau actually intends to lead the Mandalorian into the sequels, then Palpatine’s “insurance policy” of always having his next apprentice picked out / a bunch of force sensitive Snoke clones at the ready (such a ridiculous thing to even type) it could explain Grogu’s original purpose.

Of course, I am not hoping they actually go this direction, but there is cover in case they do.

I’m also a sucker for references to the prequels/pre-Empire era. I love that they’ve mentioned Coruscant in a few episodes, used the same actor for Jango and Boba, and my favorite part of Rogue One was Bail Organa being present. If this series could eventually lead to a force ghost appearance by Hayden Christensen, I think that would be awesome!

Just saw in real life the actress who played the magistrate is a martial artist with a world champion father and Bruce Lee was her godfather. She may be a legit badass.

You clearly didn't watch the series finale of Clone Wars.

She, Rex and Maul fought off an entire ship worth of clones to escape and she faked her own death.

Has the time jump at the end of Rebels been fully quantified yet? We know it is after Endor...and that Jacen Syndulla is born after Scarif.

I thought the search for Ezra began pretty close to tge victory at Endor.

She may be on the search when she crosses paths with the Mandalorian, or she may have already found him.

I did but she was not part of the Order even though after Anakin proved her innocence she refused the Jedi council to return because she no longer had faith in the Jedi or their ways. If you did watch the final season you would also know that she was not part of the Order and why Anakin helped her with his troops to fight on Mandalore against Maul.

At the very end we see Vader finding her sabers in the snow and she is presumed dead and no one continued to look for her. It was not until Rebels when she faced Vader that she realized he was formally Anakin and that he realized she was still alive. Hence hired bounty hunters and inquisitors were never sent to look for her but other surviving Jedi.
