'Member when Obama came and took errybodys' guns? I remember.
’09-‘10, he had congress in his pocket. We were fortunate healthcare was the #1 priority then. Then he lost congressional majority in ‘10-‘16.

Obama couldn’t pass it if he wanted to. Luckily, healthcare is #1 priority again due to Covid. Hopefully, that’s all they’ll think about until 2022.

If they make you move AR mags to NFA

ATF does not have the statue authority to classify magazines an NFA item. Their authority over firearms comes from the GCA of 1968 and there isn’t any language in the law concerning magazines. Congress would have to pass a law.

This is just the first step. His “aides” not only said prior to the election they would do this but also ban online ammo sales, while boosting the tax on ammo to astronomic levels and make you “register” ammunition buys.. When there is another mass shooting they will say the “Assault Weapon Ban” didn’t work, so we need to ban all guns to include handguns.

Also said no online sales of gun parts, Ammo, etc.

Will kill the industry and any gun will skyrocket in price.

That's the idea, if they can't outright ban them they'll make purchase and ownership so onerous that people will simply not do it. You can expect they'll go after the PLCAA too. From 2000 and why the PLCAA is so important and a serious obstacle to gun-control loons:

quote:

Cuomo, who last month announced the administration would attempt to negotiate an agreement with the gun makers, warned them Monday they will suffer "death by a thousand cuts" if they continue to fight each of the
communities that is suing them over gun violence. The secretary said 28 localities have sued firearms firms.

So, I’m gonna let you in on a secret.

The Dems aren’t gonna do anything about guns. Obama didn’t and had two years where they controlled the House and Senate; no matter what the NRA tells you. It’s about political posturing and getting votes. The only way gun control happens is when 70% or more of Americans support it. We’re nowhere close to that now. And when it does happen, both the Dems and GOP will support it.

In much the same way as the GOP talks about abortion. At the end of the day they’ve had infinite opportunities to challenge it; but, they are better off if RvW stays in place. It gets people to the polls and single issue evangelical voters out for the Republicans. At the end of the day, they don’t give a shite about your Bible or babies. They just want that vote.

This is the cold, hard way that American politics works.

There’s more guns than people in the US. The genie is way out of the bottle. There’s no practical way to reel it in. Both parties accept this. The status quo is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Feel free to bookmark this and quote me anytime over the next four years.

They're not going door to door. They'll simply make ever encroaching laws that force people to be compliant by a certain date or face penalties if caught after said date.

Also, going after the manufacturers to the point where it's cost prohibitive to do business is far more likely to be the most effective avenue.

I have zero faith that the plain text of the 2nd amendment will protect us.

Democratic judges will ignore 2nd, and do what they want.

The Democratic Party has been taken over by radicals. It's the not party it was even ten years ago. These people are serious, and they're dangerous.

Everything is on the table.

Not one thing scares me about Biden and his party, especially when it comes to gun control.
