PSA - The Flu has the same symptoms as COVID and the GOVT pays for COVID cases

Just in case you are feeling chickenshit about COVID and are feeling ill, some comforting facts:
1. You have the flu (even though it’s apparently been cured)
2. The flu can have the same exact symptoms as COVID (loss of smell, taste included)
3. You will be told you have COVID (so other people get paid)
4. Your common sense is still intact - the flu didn’t magically disappear with a freaking 98% drop
You’re welcome. You can quit crying now.

We need a Covid board.

Health care doesn’t function without the infinite subsidy. It is laughable when they talk about needing socialized medical care. It has been here for years.
And the fact is there is an infinite demand for it as most do not get any form of bill whatsoever.

Flu season doesn’t really begin until December. Peak is Jan/Feb. Especially for the South where cold temps don’t come until winter.

So annual flu deaths have quadrupled this year?

I haven't seen anyone whining about it. I have seen people stating they had it. Sorry that your worldview that it doesn't exist is so fragile and easily shattered

quote:fwiw - "Cold weather" does not promote the flu. Cold weather drives people inside which then increases the chances for exposure. The more you know.

And when you get tested, you will be positive for Covid.

Yes and no.... airborne viruses are more easily transmitted outdoors in cold weather (for reasons im sure you're aware of). Second, we get way less sunlight in the summer (vitamin D) and our immune systems have been proven to be much more inflammatory in the winter.

I've had the flu. I've also had COVID. The symptoms are not the same. Unless you're telling me that you've had the flu with no sinus symptoms?

Does anyone actually have a link to support these numbers? I'd like to see it personally, because it's very ironic that the Flu has basically disappeared.

Well I get the seasonal flu shot like every other reasonable adult
