Post a picture and I’ll be able to tell you. I sold weaves for a couple years

Girl you know I love ya and I'm there for ya
I got some new shoes and a bag of hair for ya

I’d say look around the edge of the scalp. Usually it looks different than normal hair.

Why exactly do you care? Unless you're working in the product development department of a shampoo department, it really doesn't matter.
Maybe if you remove the makeup and high heels from most white women they look like Luke Wilson waking up early from a bachelor party. I honestly don't know because I don't step on my friends' toes... particularly the ones that might do nice things for my throbbing wing-wang.
You should just be grateful for your new friend and not obsess over her hair care regimen.

You could get cut, messing with a black woman’s hair. JS

Bawcomville must have changed quite a bit since I lived in that area...just sayin.

If it smells like pineapple and coconut it’s a weave.

Backstory, I recently started seeing this new woman.. been out of the dating scene for a minute and well it’s my first time dating an African American woman.
So help me out, how can I tell if she’s rocking a weave or if she just has perfect smooth ethnic long hair? I know supersaint can give me a tip or two.
Thanks
Does she smell like horse? If she does, it's a weave.

Serious answer—watch Chris Rock’s “Good Hair” on Amazon Prime. It’s a documentary about black people (esp women) and the relationship they have with their hair.
F’ing hilarious

silky smooth = weave
Not always true. My wife has such long, straight silky smooth hair that other black girls want to touch it to make sure it's real.

Some black women have naturally straight hair. Of course, it is because of white or (often) Indian genes, but still.

African American people do some weird shite to their hair
I worked with a guy who would put hand lotion in his hair and it would look like medusa
He was crazy but still

Because black hair is completely different from any other races hair texture. Judging from these responses most white people know nothing about black hair. Your best bet is YouTube.

So you don't know the answer to his question, but just passed through to Karen him a little?

How are weaves not cultural appropriation? They are literally wearing another culture’s hair
