Defense is almost nonexistent in CFB. GA top ranked defense has allowed 38 points at the half. It's still fun, but I miss a good SEC defensive battle.

If my team is winning, I love it. If my team is losing, I hate it.

Same was the case though when defenses were dominating.

Based on recent scorers the Big 12 is now the defensive league in CFB.

Bizarro World 2020 continues.

The triple option to the short side of the field to keep the defense honest was the worst.

The SEC is scoring the most points out of every Conference.

And for years it was, only the SEC plays defense mantra.

Man how have times changed.

The USC-ASU game had less points for the entire game than Georgia-Florida have at halftime.

You basically have to score 50 points to win in the SEC now. It's become the Big12.

No. The games take way too long. If they remove the clock stoppage after a 1st, the game would move much smoother and the final scores would drop by at least 1 TD per team, maybe 2. This 56 to 48 shite gets old quick

Three super teams. Alabama, Clemson, OSU.
Mix in UGA, LSU, Fla, OU type teams for your fourth spot.
That's not healthy for the sport. I don't know what can be done.

i feel like people are really overreacting to a weird year where defenses were behind the eight ball from the get go

It's not just this year. The SEC has been trending this way. Even saban admitted it.

this is an extreme though. yea, the game has been trending to more offensively friendly. but this year will be an outlier for how extreme it is

They need to change the ineligible man down field rule.

Giving them a buffer of 3 yards makes it impossible to stop offenses consistently.

The sport just doesn’t have that wide open feel it used to, Saturday’s used to feel like pure anarchy that changed the landscape of the season. You still have upsets but they’re largely meaningless.

It’s become a sport where few teams are relevant

My problem with CFB is not the defense, it’s the advantage the same teams have every year and no chance for any other schools. The NCAA needs to drastically reduce the scholarships so bama, OSU, Clemson will stop stockpiling talent on their bench

Very much so. It's basically Alabama, clemson, OSU. Maybe another SEC team from time to time. It definitely needs other regions to improve, but I don't know if they're capable

So you want to make things more difficult on players when 100s of millions of dollars flow around them?

How is making players choose another school they will most likely get to play at instead of sit on the bench making it more difficult on the players?
