Yeah, Alabama siphoning off talent in Texas and California is great for the national brand of college football

Eh but it’s true they’re all popular teams people love or love to hate

Passion fuels CFB and it’s lacking that these days

Those states play 7 on 7 and that's basically what football is starting to turn into

From an outside observer, that's what it's turning into, but its not.

College football is, and always will be under the current rules, about winning in the trenches.

It's apathy.

Once fandom turned into this narrow mind-set of National Championship or bust or your team is irrelevant if you don't make the playoffs...

Fans said frick it because they were so fixated on that they forgot the other things...and if it's just going to be the same teams every year in the Natty, why follow the season?

The BCS and the Playoffs have stolen the joy of Conference champs or Rose or Sugar Bowl champs because now they're just stepping stones...and CFB only acts like who holds the Trophy at the end matters.

That’s it’s right there. Who gives a frick who wins the Rose Bowl anymore?

But I wouldn’t say the BCS stole it. The BCS started in 1998 and the other bowls were still important then.

Saban tried to tell y’all.

I remember back when Saban and Kirby would be freaking out, yelling and screaming calls before the snap while Alabama players passed on the calls and got into new formations to match the offense.

The game was chess back then.

I've been saying this for a few years.

it is what it is.

it isn't as enjoyable but that's where we are and I'm not sure it is ever going to be the same.

Seems to me the most simple answer is to actually stop the cheating and money laundering

I watched about a half of a game today. It's not what it used to be and seeing those idiots standing on the sidelines outdoors wearing masks just makes me want to change he channel.

Ive lost my love for the sport a d can easily live without it.

I mean, that has always been CFB. When is the last time we saw a first time national champ? 1993 FSU?

1996 Gators.
