Your 9 year old son steals money out of your wallet

What do you do?
My seven year old just told me his older brother took a $100 bill out of my wallet that was sitting on my night stand. Little guy said his older brother was showing it to him upstairs and bragging about having $100.
I thanked my younger son then punished my nine year old by taking away how electronics for two weeks and he will spend the entire day in his room.
Man, I am this close to spanking his arse

Did he really steal it or was he just showing it off?

Let him keep the 100, then work him like a dog for a month straight.
I forgot to add. At the end, take the 100 back.
That way he understands that theft sucks.

Do it, and thank us later.
A few minutes in time-out won't fix it.
Let him know you mean business and aren't fricking around.

Theft is a serious crime, wear his rear out.

The nine year absence of this is what led to this behavior

If being a thief doesn’t warrant an arse whipping I don’t know what does

His real dad must be a democrat.

Snitches get stitches.

I support this. Let him learn the value of money.

I would call the police and get him started in the juvenile system. Perhaps a scared straight program as well.

Spank them both. The one for stealing, the other for snitching.

Yikes. Sounds like spanking isn’t what he needs, there’s some larger problem going on.

He gets if from his mother, she's always bragging on facebook isn't she.
Look at my car, look at my kids, look at my house blah blah blah

And explain to him that money is generally earned by work, not taken. Gifts obviously being the exception.

You need to bust his arse... He wont forget about it...
Little kleppa needs to learn a lesson... I can't stand a thief, even if it's my son...
