but I’d bet a hefty amount that 90% of those that fought for the confederacy, or more, did not own slaves.

Left wing critics will say, what percent of families owned slaves, or what percent had an indirect stake in the slave system.

I think your right though, it wasn’t about owning people or economics, not directly at least, it was about preserving liberty, in the eyes of Confederate soldiers.

Its an urban rural divide. in 1861-1865 it really was The War Between the States. What is brewing now is real Civil War. Like in the Carolinas and Georgia between Patriots and Tories in the Revolution.

Opposition (political) forces were easily identified back in the Civil War, Ly...not so today. Though most of the Urban populous votes Dem, and the Rural goes Constitutional Principle.

It is a travesty that the John Mark Speaks/Mark My Words Video entitled "Why the Right will win the coming Civil War" was removed from the public viewership. JM's analysis of the dynamics that both form the basis and beginning of an inevitable 'civil war', and as well the logistical and likely logistical and progression of such...were impeccably argued.

It only takes a small but committed and highly skilled Group of 'patriots' to kick off an unstoppable, snoball of 'class-based conflict; said Classes being desperate have nots - whom many of the which are psychologically dysfunctional, immoral, and basically evil on a full belly and kill each other as a daily routine....and the other Class being those who responsibly work, love and seek happiness via such.

It is sad to say, but much of the conflict will break along Racial lines, as the 'Race Card' has been successfully exploited since Obama held power. Thank Marxist hegemony for that, via Academia. Tribalist instinct runs in the Genes of all; hell, if not for LSU Campus Security...there would be blood in the streets of an Ole Miss v LSU game by halftime. Whiskey and ego/pride based competition can get out of hand quick. Politics like BLM...amps it up.

One thing is for sure...by Thanksgiving, we'll know where this goes. Trump will either 'concede' defeat to a rigged vote...or he won't. They impeached him on fraudulent 'evidence'...no way they won't rig the vote. And Trump Nation knows this.

IMO, Trump will not concede. Massive win on election night...all Dem votes thereafter. Won't fly; they'll have to take it. Time will tell. Soon.

Pray for vision and mercy.

I kinda wish they would come to the countryside. Examples need to be made for their brethren to see what awaits if they push their luck.

Blood bath.

Yep. I have talked to everyone on my street this past week. All are ready. Even the old ladies going to the range to get some target practice.

Trump "amped it up" only in the sense that he was the one person who finally punched the bully in the nose. His rhetoric would be very different if he were being dealt with fairly.

I agree. It wasn't a criticism of him, just a statement of reality.

The fight is on. frick the left.

Yes, our national political discourse has been toxic for many years now.

Yes, it amped up when Trump got elected.

Yes, it went insane in the aftermath of George Floyd.

But what I am seeing on all sides now leading up to 11-3 is unprecedented.

At first it was just online but it is spreading in the real world too.

Neither side will accept the result. There is enormous evidence of voter fraud already.

It is going to get very ugly next week. Make sure you keep your family safe.

And 99.9% of this shite is all from left. They are unhinged animals.

For the first time in my life, I now completely understand the civil war and how fellow countrymen could take up arms against each other.

I own many, many weapons and practice with them almost daily. My family and I regularly shoot competitively. I believe the 2nd amendment is possibly our most sacred right. It truly separates our republic from the rest of western civilization.

That being said, George Washington did not say the above statement. It sounds good though! He probably believed it to be true!

quote:

George Washington did not say the quote you attributed to him. The first few words are the same as a sentence from his First Annual Message given to Congress on January 8, 1790, but the rest of the words are quite different. Compare the spurious quote to Washington's actual words, "A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies."
- TOBIAS LEAR - Personal Secretary to President George Washington

They need to be specific about who they target as well.. especially the big tech and money players, as well as media elitists who fan the flames of divisiveness.

Man, we have it so good in the era we live in that we think this is near an actual Civil War. It really just shows how spoiled we are.

I'll only see it on TV. I'm lucky to live in an area where I won't have to worry about this. Much like riots of 2020 changed nothing for me, this won't either. It'll only be something I see on TV.
