Why do girls deceive on dating apps?

Went on a date with a girl Saturday. She wasn't a 10 but I thought she was decent enough to at least see if she was worth it.
Bitch looked like she could play linebacker for the Bears. Looked nothing like any of the pics she posted (no pics because I deleted the app and I'm not getting back on that shite ever again).
Why do that to yourself? Now I have to ghost her and she will get her feelings hurt. What do they think is going to happen when they show up looking like shrek?

Because then they can blame you for being so superficial rather than it being a direct result of their appearance.
Even if she wasn’t an overweight troll, I’d have serious problems at the start. She literally opened a potential relationship with a lie. Are we supposed to assume it’ll just get better and never happen again?

You don't have to ghost her. Be honest and explain the situation in a nice way, even if it's over text message. Maybe you'll be the one to speak some positivity into her life and save her (and the next guy) this same trouble down the road.

Covid hasn't been kind to the dating scene. I'm 32 and on dating apps, with a lot of guy friends who are as well. It's not that big of a deal.
