Lots of those are transfers from rural areas. Our hospital sends Covid patients to Shreveport or Ellick but when those are full it's sent them as far as Jackson MS and Fayetteville AR. For all the talk about hospitals not being overwhelmed, sometimes it is tough to find an available bed.

Which has been the case for many years. Family members have stayed parked in hallways and at the ER for hours and hours waiting for an available bed. Has nothing to do with the current events.

Total cases by collection date on or after 10/9/2020 - 6,320, plus hospitalizations equals 6,940. The number I posted yesterday using the same methodology was 6,723. There are 217 more active cases today than yesterday, an increase of 3.23%. 685 of the 696 new cases are from test dates during this time.

Since Friday, 1,199 cases on 31,328 tests (3.8% positive rate), 609 in hospitals (-19), 71 on vents (+6)

Shut it all down. When the economy was shut down, virus went away, 0 cases.

bumped up to 5.49% positive statewide (once back dating & duplicate removal & all the other stuff is done) on 10/16 but has come back down to 5.14% on 10/21
