Interesting timing given that the Saints just released threats to move the games to Baton Rouge...

Destroya is getting bullied

The City of New Orleans will move to Phase 3.2 this Friday, Mayor Cantrell announced Tuesday.

The announcement came as she and city CAO Gilbert Montano went before the House Appropriations Committee in Baton Rouge.

There will be a news conference Thursday to formally announce the move to Phase 3.2.

The mayor also addressed city furloughs that will affect thousands of city employees.

“The hurt is real,” the mayor said to lawmakers as she pointed to a $150 million deficit because of COVID-19.

Cantrell said $200 million in city expenses qualify for federal COVID-19 aid, but city has only been approved for less than $60 million.

The mayor went on to say her restrictions are designed to slow the spread of COVID-19 and have successfully done that. She says bars will open to outside patio service this week and visitors want to travel to a place they feel is safe.

When did decimal points become apart of phasing? It's a fricking game to them at this point

Oh there are certainly parts of the city that aren't safe that has nothing to do with covid.

I would have prefered Phase 3.1415, as I am fond of pi(e). Apple pie, not Cantrell pie.

So the bitch finally got bullied.... Saints need to keep their foot on the pedal.

She's too stupid to run a snowball stand much less an actual city.

I'm so tired of these arbitrary and vague projections that she puts out. "Increase indoor gathering size..."/"Further increase indoor gathering size"/"as early as"--this is all bullshite that I'd bet she hasn't even defined internally yet. She's patting herself on the back for this and it's infuriating. At least tell us what those numbers "could" be. Trying to plan a wedding in NOLA has been an absolute nightmare. You'd think a place where peoples' livelihoods depend on social gatherings and fun would provide some sort of transparency with respect to social gatherings

I like how it just says increase allowed amount. So it could go from 8% to 8.5% and still “comply”

I hate to be “that guy” but wouldn’t it make more sense to put it as phase 3.0/3.25/3.50/3.75?

Not 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3?

If you look at the chart phase 3.twooo says increase seating capacity for outdoor sporting events. I’m not disputing that the saints have forced her hand. The problem with that is she is to stupid to even know that her phase 3.twoooo doesn’t say anything about indoor sporting events

So the NOLA politicians stole $200 million under the guide of COVID and are now scared the federal government won't bail them out?

How does a city of 391,000 people even spend $200 million on this?

Shes a TARD! We are the only city to invent a phase 1.5 to go to from phase 2. Now we are the only city to have a phase 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 phase to go to from phase 2.

Any scientific evidence backing her phases, or just a whim of a power hungry mayor? I used to think that shitty mayors were harmless in the grand scheme of things, but this is changing my mind. Didn’t know mayors had that much power. Shouldn’t the state overrule them?
