gave up 1.8 million as a shield for the 421 million he owes in addition to the millions paid out to his properties from taxpayers

and then it turns to Obama. Of course. Obama. Hillary. Talk about derangement syndrome

Does someone have the info and low down on how his returns got into the hands of the nyt? Didnt the Supreme Court specifically write about the protections and grand jury secrecy?

As for the idiots on this board that dont know how to understand a tax return, taking numbers and making conclusions is almost impossible for a 1040 let alone the massive returns filed by Trump.

I'm wondering how the loans work? I assume he must give the banks multiple years of tax information to generate that kind of loan.

Basically, frick new york and their cesspool.

This does not mean what you think it means. All of the socialist rich-haters (except for themselves of course) would have had higher net incomes to have higher liabilities.

Can you explain how giving up his presidential salary provided a “shield” from his supposed creditors? Genuinely interested in that logical leap.

are you serious? It's the very premise of this thread. "How can Trump be a greedy crook when he selflessly gave up so much personal enrichment from his forsaken salary?"

Or was your post sarcastic?

Honestly, based on what I’ve seen, I don’t think the NYT has them. Otherwise, they’d release them to generate as much negative press across all platforms. This is the old tried and true “anonymous sources” play where they hide behind the facade of journalistic integrity in an attempt to bait Trump into releasing his returns.

The NYT doesn’t care about their credibility anymore so if Trump releases his returns to prove them wrong, it’s still a net win for team Hiden Biden as every other media outlet could find their own stories in his actual filings.

Uh, I’m not sure where you got that from the OP. He brought up Trump giving up his salary contrasted to Obama signing multi-million dollar deals after leaving office.

You somehow made the connection that Trump giving up his salary shielded him from supposedly owing 400+ million dollars to creditors. I’m not seeing the connection.

Looks like Trump is the smartest one of the bunch. What was your point again?

Imagine being so utterly ignorant and delusional as to think paying more in taxes was evidence of patriotism. You really are a dumb shite kid.

Trump donates his salary. Trump writes that off his taxes. Trump pays minimum taxes.

if he was telling banks he was making millions so he could get loans, while telling the IRS he was losing millions to lower his taxes, these are very major felonies. What he told the banks isnt in this but they did, in fact, give him loans so its not hard to guess what he told them. Hell, he paid more in taxes to Panama ($15,598), India ($145,400), and the Philippines (156,824) than he did here in the U.S. ($750). What a patriot.

You really don’t know how this works, do you?

No bank loans money to an individual based on what someone tells them.

In the commercial real estate market it is common sense to offset income tax liabilities with a multitude of valid annual expenses, long-term capital depreciation and mortgage interest payments. With over 500 individual business entities within the Trump organization the ability to offset income in one asset with expenses in another is simply good LEGAL accounting ..

It doesn’t cost the American taxpayer a dime to have President Trump in office….

But, .....lets figure out how elected politicians making $200k/yr are able to become multi-millionaires while holding office.

Anyone? .... Bueller?

I don’t even know if that is true, and neither do you. You also don’t know anything about his businesses. And, it’s obvious from your posts that you know absolutely zero about how businesses, accounting, and tax returns work.

You are embarrassing yourself.
