I wonder how common this is?

Police falsifying documents of all kinds is VERY, VERY common.

In all the discussion and ranting over this I've yet to see a single person attempt to articulate how any involved individual's actions satisfy the elements of a murder count.

So all you guys are ok with falsifying warrants?

Is that confirmed?

At any rate there was never gonna be a murder charge.

This is a great opportunity to have a good house cleaning and to really sit down and re-evaluate how they operate. But that won't happen because of the FOP.

I agree, this needs to be done across the country. There are really no requirements to be a police officer than to want to be one and go thru some basic training.

But, we have become a society that doesn't have even a small respect for police authority, so it's only going to get worse, not better.

They got caught lying about some of the evidence on the warrant. The officer who brought the warrant before a Judge has been reassigned.

Was this officer involved in the raid?

LINK

Found a link for the happenings in Louisville and elsewhere. Crowds are beginning to assemble, peaceful so far from what I've seen.

The police chief is a stooge of the mayor and was not presiding as chief during t he time of the shooting.

nor should there have been.... but negligence homicide, and/or manslaughter, should have been in the mix...

you seem to be awfully picky with how you apply your "Biblical standard".... those passages cover ALL parties involved, not just one side... remember that... don't cherry pick the Bible... take it, as it is, and learn how to defend it, or leave it be, because you do a real disservice to your fellow Christians when you can't adequately apply that "standard" to EVERYONE... it's hypocrisy, at it's finest, and does more harm to your faith than you can imagine....

You’re full of crap. The only scripture I’ve cited revolves around the consequences of the company you keep. You tell me how that doesn’t apply. I’ll wait.

There is no judgement. It’s a stated fact. Her company got her killed.

I thought bluebelle said it was “alleged” a couple pages back and she seems to know the most about this case. My bad.

Not in the raid itself.

He was just reassigned after the fact. Which I find to be incredibly disappointing. I personally believe he should've been charged for lying about evidence on the warrant (he gave a sworn affidavit over it).

If there was as much evidence for a warrant to be issued as they say, there was no reason to lie on the warrant. I think the lack of charge and just a simple, paid reassignment set a poor precedent to support cops lying to obtain warrants with a slap on the wrist if caught.

You mean snarky memes on social media don’t satisfy the elements of a murder count?

Nor do WNBA jerseys, which was a surprise to me. In law school they told us those had the force of law.

Again, given what we know, I was never arguing for a murder charge.

I can't speak for everybody else, but that has never been my issue here.

But the idea that it's just "ho hum, our bad" when an unarmed woman gets shot to death in her own house doesn't really make sense to me either.

Belle and SFP have said it best, so I'll defer to their posts, but there are serious problems that go beyond the scope of this one incident. I mean these cops rolled in like fricking seal team 6 only to:

- find nothing illegal with the super special night-time raid warrant that they allegedly lied to obtain

- kill a bystander

- land bullets in at least THREE different apartments

I'm curious if the guy the AG is counting as a witness of the announcement is the same dude that was in the NYT piece on this situation. The other folks interviewed in that piece said that they did not hear the police at that time.
