Good move.

LSU spirit was easily one of the best parts of being a Louisianan. Somehow this state’s leadership has managed to poison this too.

Over $2500. No they won't.

LSU is notoriously terrible at academic fundraising for a flagship with the size of their alumni base. The loss of an annual $2500 donation shouldn't be overlooked because I'm sure it's not the only one. But overlooking it is very LSU.

You forgot to put a decimal between 25 and 00 in your post. LOL!

My annual $2500 donation ain’t much but it’s going to the local high school for their trade school program. Not those bunch of fools.

My last LSU donation was payment for cost of tuition.

Donated plenty for my degree and feel no obligation to give them a penny more.

Congratulations, I guess. I’m amazed that it never occurred to you before that donating to LSU is voluntarily paying more taxes. The money is fungible, you know. Giving money to LSU doesn’t necessarily increase the money that LSU has to spend. The government just funds them less.

You pay a lot of taxes that you get to pick who your money funds?

I did the same. I give nothing else to FSU or Bama after this summer. I changed my giving to FSU strictly to Marching Chiefs last year. All mine now goes to Navy-Marine Corps Relief, Marine Corps League, and Disabled American Vets.

Ya know what. I just might have to give my alma mater an extra three grand this year. I bet my kids will do it too.

That's kind of a hefty pricetag for some virtue signaling.

I might just change my Facebook profile pic to BLM if I were you.

Actually no. We won the first one. Thanks for caring Mr. Cumberbund.

Try to keep up. That is two you missed out on.

Now start holding your state legislators' feet to the fire to clean out these cancerous Marxists embedded in our university systems. Eliminating tenure would be a great step.

Screw the shameful, gutless cowards running LSU and LSU Athletics. Zero money from this guy ever again.

Notice it was Black lives matters the saying and not the organization from my understanding. I think we can all agree with the sentiment.
people supporting the saying gives legitimacy, power, and hundreds of millions of dollars in donations to the organisation. frick the saying, it's designed to be devisive anyway.

This. 100x over again. I don't care if the people who constantly recite the saying have nothing to do with the organization or not. Their mantra has been hijacked and turned into a political, communist/socialist/Marxist/anarchist organization that has ZERO place in this country.

For the OP and others making the same choices, are you letting LSU know why?
