I’ve let the school know why. I don’t have much faith it will do any good though.

Before Covid, I helped organize a group of colleagues (around 40) that also graduated from LSU and also worked in the same business unit at my company. We were going to raise money for LSU and try to get our employer to match our donations like they do with some other institutions.

I was successful in riding the wave of support after the NC win. Everyone seemed enthusiastic about it.

By March, we had finally gotten a commitment that our employer would match 50% of our donations to LSU if we agreed to a recurring annual donation. We were going to start the fundraiser right as Covid hit.

Then our alumni lunches stopped. The whole company started working from home. We put the LSU project down given that there were rumors of layoffs and extended furloughs.

Now that most of that seems to be behind us, I’m not picking this little initiative back up after Covid. I am sure someone else will pick up the lead on those fireside chats and alumni meetings. I won’t be doing it though, and I don’t plan to donate to LSU again.

I wasn’t a big donor and I’m sure they won’t miss a what I provided in the past....but it doesn’t feel right to continue anymore, especially given the BLM inspired terrorist shooting on Airline Hwy in Baton Rouge was just 4 years ago.

Ole Miss has lost so many donors they couldn't even sell 16,000 tickets and had to start pleading with the public to buy them today. Capitulating to the Monument Mob and the OM administration publicly and in writing stating support for the protest march of an accused sexual predator has soured the majority of alumni.

I'll echo what others have said, it is great that you seem to have seen the light!

Wish I could upvote you a thousand times. Good on you for doing this.

I also refuse to donate a red cent back to LSU. They can’t unring that bell now and I guarantee you we aren’t the only ones who have ceased donations

Now start holding your state legislators' feet to the fire to clean out these cancerous Marxists embedded in our university systems. Eliminating tenure would be a great step.

This right here. I've been saying the same for years. Tenure is a cancer on so many levels.

The first football game I remember watching in its entirety on TV was the 1962 Sugar Bowl between Arkansas and Ole Miss. I was 7 years old. For about the next 5 years I played football in the front yard with neighbors down the road, and always pretended I was Jimmy Heidle. Yep, used to flat out love me some Rebels, and dreamed of playing for them someday until I started going to Georgia games with relatives. Ole Miss getting overrun with the PC shite nauseates me more than any other institution of higher learning that has undergone this cancerous transformation (which is nearly all of them).

LSU actually responded to my email from a very nice lady that is the Vice President of something or another.

We engaged in a couple emails.

Essentially, they’re standing behind their Diversity Inclusion Roadmap and all of us who disagree can just be big mad.

That’s fine. My money is going elsewhere.

Get Woke. Go Broke. Enjoy the fruits of your labors.

She emailed me back as well. My email to them originally was cordial, and her reply was as well.

Glad you are standing your ground.
...May I suggest that you change your “favorite team” on here to our beautiful flag?
It caused some sadness, but I did that a while back. I even swapped my LSU yard flag out with the Stars & Stripes and removed my LSU license plate holders.

How is this different than what they've been doing for years? Honest question. Haven't almost all colleges made moves to bring in more minorities for decades now?

Just to fill the void of something on on sundays.
