Except for the most hard-right on this board, the vast majority of Americans realize there are issues in our criminal justice system when it comes to race. They also realize the vast majority of our police officers, and others in the system, are good men and women.

So when are our politicians, athletes, actors, etc going to start actually proposing real, workable solutions? Solutions that actually both reduce crime and reduce systemic racism?

The athletes say they want to force changes. Fair enough. What are the actual changes they want? How are we going to pay for them and carry out those changes?

I'm not talking about the Antifa types or those who just want to watch the world burn. But for those who truly want change, I think they have a small window of time in which they can propose ideas and the vast majority of Americans will consider their ideas.

But if they don't start coming out with some concrete ideas, I think most Americans will start to tune them out.

Never

They don’t know what they want. And why does their opinion matter more than anyone else? What makes them the spokesperson other than their fame for playing a sport?

I think most Americans will start to tune them out.
This is already happening.

When they finally decide to teach their children, and others that single motherhood is bad.
When they decide to teach their children and others not to have children out of wedlock.

When they decided to teach their children and others to take individual responsibility for their actions.
When the decided to stop blaming others for their own poor choices.

IOW... NEVER!

You mean like criminal justice reform that Trump signed into law. You know to erase the law that lead to mass incarceration written by one Joe Biden, you know the guy who picked a corrupt former DA that put innocent black men in jail. Those the solutions you're looking for?

You're trying to have an actual political conversation on this board, which is populated almost strictly by psychotics whose entire mental energies are put toward evading basic facts about reality?

Don't waste your time. The only thing to do on here is shitpost.

wrong. We have a police state problem, not a race problem

POLICE STATE

There are no solutions. There aren't many of us willing to take up arms against the govt. The only solution is to wait for the collapse of the nation. may be be a few years. may be be 100 years. IT'S GOING TO GET A LOT WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER.

Eh. The “issues” are mostly overstated or distorted.

There are issues with our criminal justice system. But I’m not sure the cure wouldn’t be worse than the problem.

The problems are not race driven. If that were the case then police killings would happen in a lopsided proportion in comparison to the crime rate, yet it all lines up perfectly. In fact, out of all killings in the U.S. you MAY be able to pin at most .2-5% of them on race being a factor.

Now there is a need for change, and that change starts in the communities. Neighborhoods holding their own accountable and not withholding information from police. States relaxing laws and giving more law abiding citizens the right to defend themselves AND their property. Thats just the start.

What is your definition of systemic racism and what laws should we remove or pass to eliminate it?

The democrats didn't even take up Tim Scott's bill to the floor to be debated upon in the House. All of it was criminal justice reform. That tells me all I need to know.

First please give us a tangible example of systemic racism? (While you are at give me an example of white privilege). I suggest all these millionaires put on a uniform for one week and do ride alongs with local LEOs. I imagine that their tunes would drastically change on things if they witness first hand what LEOs really have to deal with.

Also, you failed to address on key issue. How does less than 6% of a population account for over 50% of ALL violent crimes. We talk about racial profiling but honestly By simply looking at statistics anyone with a marginal IQ has to be more alert when they encounter somebody in that demographic.

Literally anything you will give them. It’s extortion and it will not stop by making concessions
