Would it be possible for Laura to move off the coast of North Carolina and then reform back into a hurricane?

EPS is in. Tightening onto the north Texas coast. Ensemble mean roughly the same as the operational.

Those ensembles are a bit more interesting from a LA perspective. Prior few set of ensemble suites had one or 2 single runs into LA. Clearly a proper correction back to the east

Look for models to trend back east with the current position and movement of Laura

Euro track will give Houstonians a heart attack, particularly if that intensity verifies.

I don't recall anyone asking if St. George is in the clear. All you had to do was ask.

Ike was a gigantic Cat 2 that brought a tremendous surge with it relative to it's category.

Scared me shiteless in Kingwood roughly 70 miles from the surfzone during Ike. Trees snapping like toothpicks. That wind was brutal. I should have evacuated from that storm but I left for Rita in 2005 and it took 20 hours to get to Monroe from Houston. I said never again, maybe a Cat 5 would make me leave because I saw stuff that I can't unsee concerning human behavior during a crisis.

Get a couple Predator generators at Harbor Freight for emergencies. I've had a couple for over 10 years and just crank them up and run them every month of so. You won't have to pay top $ and they work just fine.
