In general I'm in favor of the death penalty. In function though, the death penalty process is such a clusterflock I'm slowly turning against it. It takes decades and costs untold millions to get to a single execution.
Lock 'em up, throw away the key. No visitation or communication with the outside world to speak of.

Or just shoot him in the head on the courthouse steps.

He’s so dreamy. Of all the murderers Rolling Stone has put on their cover, he’s the dreamiest. Sorry Barack.

there are some it is worth the expense but yes there are some evil bastards it would be justice to put them in supermax solitary only given food they hate and water.

The left probably will consider him a national hero now and let him out

I would prefer public hangings.

Agreed. To me this would be worse than the death penalty.

Given he is Muslim, his execution would make him a martyr.
So why embolden those who follow him?

I predict Sleepy Joe will pardon him if he gets elected

And if you turn against it, then the people that CAUSE it to be such a clusterf#&% are victorious. Because that's the whole point. Then once they've won THAT battle, then they'll move onto life sentences. Then sentences over 20 years. Then they'll start demanding furloughs. Then they'll start....
You get my point. Liberals mock the right for the slippery slope argument, but as we've seen over the past few decades, the slippery slope is not only real, it's the whole MO of the Left, and they always knew it. All the while they were going "LOL @ the Right's Slippery Slope", they were knowingly using it to advance their agenda.
We just want the same respect as straights > we just want to marry too > we going to doxx you and get you fired > we're going to hunt your families down and retaliate against THEM > why haven't you cut your son's penis off and made him a girl yet, bigot?

The overwhelmingly Large percentage of the crowd that attends the Boston Marathon is Hard core Leftist.
If things like this don't red pill them, nothing will.
FYI: imho: If the death penalty is not administered a very very short time after trial like in some east Asian countries, it becomes a complete clusterfrick and has the opposite effect of what it was originally intended for.

I don't like it, but if the correct sentencing procedures weren't followed, that's what the Appeals Court is for. Fix it now, or risk a higher Appellate Court throwing out the entire conviction.

With cases such as George Stinney, Cameron Todd Willingham, and the numerous other inmates on death row exonerated by DNA should turn every sane person into a death penalty opponent.
The government is terrible. Why would I trust them with life and death decisions?

Getting rid of the death penalty simply moves the fight to getting rid of life imprisonment. These people don't care about the death penalty, they simply support criminals.
