Saw. A large purchase of $45c 1/2021. I saw an alert on that too. But it’s not so large that it couldn’t be retail just making a bet

Charge Act

Charging Helps Agencies Realize General Efficiency Act....s:2193 / s:3105
Specifically state USPS will be authorized to use a Charge Card to charge their USPS vehicles. As far as I know , USPS currently is not driving EV vehicles- GEAUX WORKHORSE

I am long WKHS & DPHC. All indicators say WorkHorse will win 50%-75% of the award. We will see - GL

I fully expect WKHS to get 75% of the bid... imo... but is this already priced in? Isn't the contract to be awarded in 10 days? I'm surprised that this close to the due date that the share price is falling... is it likely that the share price will fall if they get the contract?

For some investors yes, others no. There is a population of buyers that react to news. So I’m expecting an increase even though earlier buyers already anticipated the announcement.

I first heard about wkhs about a month ago, probably from this board, but didn't pay much attention. Whag do people think is a realistic ceiling for it? Obviously I've missed getting in super early but would it be worth throwing a little money at it now?

It’s not too late. If it drops to 21, I will buy some. It’s not far off that now

$21 is a steal at this point. Swinge traded it a few times.

I quit cause I. Didn't think I'd it down here again.

New here been lurking a while, mostly the O-T. I found out about WKHS from here. I don't know how the beta.sam works but looks like they are in negotiations for an award ? Can't be 100% since it was for semi trucks also. I searched all the company entitys and only found these. Oshkosh, Ford, and Workhorse. Here are the links I'm not sure how to post a screenshot. You can see under each entity their primary and other areas. Any insight could help everyone !

workhorse entity

oshkosh entity

ford entity

Not sure what any of that means, but there are 3 remaining entries left for the USPS contract to replace their delivery vans and Ford and Oshkosh have partnered up together and the other 2 are Workhorse and a Turkish company called Karsan.

By all accounts the contract is supposed to be awarded by Oct 12th (maybe 14th) so decision day is fast approaching.

Ya I can't find Karsan in there. I tried searching for all the other companies that were in the running, maybe I missed something ? But I can see oshkosh it is check off primary next to
336120 Heavy Duty Truck Manufacturing

While ford and workhorse primary are
336111
Automobile Manufacturing

Maybe Oshkosh and Ford get some for semi trucks and possibly some transit vans for immediate use and Workhorse gets the majority of the local mail trucks. Just my guess.

Ya I know about the October 12th but that is Columbus day ( federal holiday ) and I seen other companies that were awarded and the announcement wasn't for another 2 weeks. It was a company that got a contract in 2015 from the post office just don't remember which one.

Oshkosh generally makes military vehicles so that's probably where that comes from.

All the rumors I've read are saying workhorse gets the majority of the contract and ford/Oshkosh gets the remaining part of the contract. Obviously we'll see about that whenever it is awarded.

From my understanding the USPS wants 75% of the contract to be EV's and the Ford/Oshkosh is a combustion engine so its highly unlikely they'll get more than 25% of the contract.

My concern is that WKHS just doesn't have the production capacity ready to go to meet the demands.

A valid concern but they have their factory in Indiana as well as with their partners in Lordstown, Ohio. They are in a hiring frenzy right now and the contract will be over several years, not just 1 lump some so whomever gets awarded it will have time to produce the vehicles.

Workhouse owns 10% of Lordstown and they have that newish plant from GM. They have stated they would be able to help Workhorse with production needs. I feel like I can't dig anymore but if someone knew how the beta.sam stuff worked that would be awesome.

Wish I lived around Workhorse I would go spy for some mail trucks

I’ve done very well trading them and i’m tempted to buy back in at current price only to trade again after awarded contract. My concern to hold long is winning a contract doesn’t always compute to strong profit margins.

For postal run-abouts, EV's make sense. Most run for limited miles and have all night to recharge.
