Money Makers have a field day when stocks make a big run. Easy to push down and short. Big money funds in full control.

Short 21.5 puts expiring 10/2. I’ll take a taste at that price and sell calls against it if it hits.

Yep. Major weakness in the EV sector today. My net break even is 20.60 on this trade. Assuming that IV stays roughly where it is now, ATM calls going out two weeks are pricing at approximately $3.00. So if I get the shares next Friday, I’ll sell calls against it and bring the break even down to 17 and change - and I’ll keep doing that until it eventually gets called away (or implodes).

Now, that’s “the plan” anyway (which is a contingency I decided on BEFORE entering the trade). The risk is this turns into a $5 or $10 stock (or goes bankrupt) while I’m doing this Wheel Strategy. But that’s the risk whenever one is long stock.

Like the guy was saying earlier, if your plan was to buy at this level, you have to have accepted that you were going to be confortable to buy after a massive drop.

I’ll let you know next Friday at 4:01PM.

Some people on here are looking at this as an investment. For me, if I get the shares put to me, it would be part of a trading position. Even if it was poised to go to 100 within the next year or two, it’s still just a short term trade for me. I’m not looking to hold it for any length of time once it achieves my profit/exit target.

So are you looking for a trade or an investment?

Is there anything besides the article that would be causing the drop? Any other news? I admit I have not been keeping up on the latest with them.

No real news in particular to really cause the drop other than Cramer telling someone to sell half their position of DCHP (because of what happened to other spac/ev mergers....most definitely referring to nikola) take profits....does he really have that much influence over investors? He seems like a tool most of the time.

In other news, Workhorse just announced that the range of their delivery vans has increased to 160 miles from 100 so I'll take that as good news.

Yeah. Nice. A roughly 25% up move in just a couple of days. EVs are rallying.

Whoever got in on Najarian’s TSLA long call trade (9/25 400 strike) is up VERY nicely today. I looked at them at 3.65 yesterday. Trading at 9.20 now. Sometimes following unusual options activity pays off.

Did anyone see trump showcasing the Lordstown pickup truck today at the White House?
I guess this is why Wkhs spiked today

Not sure if this is a precursor to things to come, but Workhorse is now listed on the GSA road side assistance phone number website.

Lol. I havent a clue either but it sounds promising.

I havent heard of any other government contracts that they have been awarded.

I'm definitely not basing anything on it, but hoping its some subliminal message of sorts.
