Anyone care to shed light on when they think things will return to some sense of normalcy regarding ammo in stock? Speaking with various family and friends from out of state, and they say same thing there, and one said even their local hippies and dregs are buying it up, many buying their first weapons. A bit unnerving to say the least.

The rationing is reminiscent of something akin to WWII rationing. Went by a gun store the other day and was told I could only purchase 100 rounds at a time due to having to ration ammo because of the shortages all over the country. When will the insanity end?

Probably about 6 months after we get some sense of normalcy in the country. Right now there are riots all over the country and both sides of the spectrum are buying weapons and ammo like crazy

People are going to regret spending so much money on ammo when the expiration dates all hit around the same time. What do you do with all of those cartridges that are no good?

If biden wins the election expect the ammo shortage to continue or get worse. If trump wins then you will slowly see the shortage go away.

If Biden wins, I have a sneaking suspicion it may be even longer still.

No one alive today will be alive when those expire.

You can still shoot World War I bulk made steel ammo. You can shoot stuff from the mid 1800s.

Link?

ETA: I’m not trying to be a smartass. I’m a new gun owner and would love to have accurate information on how long ammo actually lasts

About 90 days after Trump's re-election. If he loses it won't ever return.

I've shot thousands of round of 30 cal m2 ball from the 40s and 50s.
I've also shot lots of mil surplus 8mm Mauser and 303 from 50s and 60s production.
Ammo has quite a long shelf life.

When people stop rioting. I believe last numbers I saw were ammo sales were up almost 200% from last year and gun purchases up about 80%.

I have often regarded you as one of the stupidest people on this site. This may catapult you to the top of the list.
