I hit downvote by mistake just saying. Chris did he’s eulogy so that tells you how good of friends they were!

They were best of friends. I saw a video tribute that Spielman made after his death with highlights of Andoksek playing and the two of them hunting and hanging out. It is very moving. Also shows what an incredible pro he was developing into

I live 5 minutes from where the accident happened. Never a time I don’t pass and think about that. Remember the first time a saw him. It was for Easter mass and my dad told me who he was. The whole mass, I stood in awe of him. A HUGE MAN!!

Tom Tupa..unreal Punting leg

Earl Bruce..a-hole kept em in the locker room late..heat index and humidity off the charts..I wanted to strangle him!

LSU should've been 2-0 between the H&H..went 0-1-1.

about Eric Andolsek by geauxrugby
He was freaking mean, like Conrad Dobler, only about 10 times stronger!
. It wasn’t that Dobler was mean. He was maybe the dirtiest player in NFL history.
Never heard anyone say Andolsek was dirty.

I played on the same team with him at THS in the football season of 83.

A true man among boys.

Just an awful tragedy losing him so young. Will never forget how sick it made me feel when I read about it in newspaper next day. I grew up in Thibodaux and he was the pride of the town. A truly great guy.

The video of LSU’s weight room then versus what it looks like now with Moffitt. We’ve come a long way. Eric was a mass of humanity. One of the all time greats at LSU.

I grew up right outside of Thibodaux and remember seeing Eric Andolsek in church and he was literally a mountain of a man.

Eric would have been an NFL HOFer.

I attended LSU baseball camp during the time Andolsek was at LSU and remember seeing him outside where they worked out. I was 16 years old and never forgot how big that dude was. He looked like the hulk. I remember when he was killed and Ralph Norwood died in a car accident around the same time. Two great tigers gone way before their time.

At that time, yes. But when he played at LSU he was roughly 6'2, 275 lbs. He would be the smallest guy, by far, on LSU's OL today. For reference, Lloyd Chusenberry is 6'3, 315. A guy like Saahdiq Charles (6'4, 322) would dwarf Andlosek...and Charles is thought to maybe be a little too small to play tackle

So do I. It amazes how stupid people are and refuse to give you any room, even when the other lane is completely open.

I was working for Charter(wasn't Charter at that time) and was heading to Assumption Parish. I passed as Eric was weed eating. It happened minutes after I passed. He had his contract in his back pocket from the Lions when he got hit.

Add Toby Caston to that list.

If there is a Tiger Heaven you know they got a hell of a team.

Eric was 6’2 310 when he died. I don’t think you understand how he was built! Even at 280 his body fat was ridiculous for a man his size. He was all muscle. And no, very few enen today would dwarf him!
