Very good special(with video) about Eric and the 86' team.

’I just miss him’ - LSU late great Andolsek still beloved nearly three decades later

Also will have a special on Friday, July 24 with player interviews.

For Flashback Friday on July 24, there will be a deep dive into “Crazy Days at LSU - The Arnsparger/Archer Circus of 1986.” WAFB-TV has conducted 15 interviews with former LSU players and coaches from the late 80s to tell great tales of those Tiger teams.

Thank you for the video. He was a tremendous football player for the Bayou Bengals. I'll never forget when he punched Cris Spielman at the coin flip. That 13-13 tie was a huge disappointment. LSU dominated the game, and some kind of way Ohio St. had a chance to win on a field goal at the buzzer. Some of my friends were so confident that LSU would blow them off the field. I can remember saying to them on the way to the game. "Guys, It's f------g Ohio St. They'll show up".

His highlight video is unreal, there was a video that was shown at a memorial, I think, it is jaw dropping.

I use to imagine he was just a bully when he played at LSU until he made it to the NFL and would get right in Alonzo Spellman's face.

NOPE!...he was a legit tough guy.

Spielman spit in his face at the coin flip.

Elko and George atiyeh could bench with him and Leonard Marshall could squat with him . Clean and jerk he was second to no one . One bad dude on the field . Off the field an all around great guy . George and Elko were before Big E .

And they became best friends as teammates with the Lions. I remember seeing a news clip of the Andolsek funeral and Chris Spielman was standing outside the church just balling his eyes out. It was obvious that he had lost a really good friend.

Wish we had more human interest stories like this than the garbage which is sports reporting today. Andolsek and Spielman were mirror images of each other.
