People trying to hang on to the promise that is a monthly check and them food stamps. It's a way of life for most poor people and that's what the democratic party promises to them.

You would be surprised at how many people in this country chase work. Many don’t get perdiem. They just go to jobs with plenty of overtime, work them, and go home and collect unemployment til the next job comes up. These people are considered “supplemental employees”. They are very much in need during power station, paper mill, refinery, and auto retooling and shutdowns. Before the latest “republican tax cut”, most of the expenses paid by these supplemental employees were tax deductible. The mileage, hotels, and meals are no longer tax deductible. The largest share of that tax cut went to big business and pretty much completely screwed the little guy, the same guy that big business needs to do shutdown work. It is little stuff like that ticks many workers off. I was able to make a good living doing that, and many times I felt that my union retirement I would get would be worth the sacrifice of paying my own expenses, as they were tax deductible. I paid as much as $500 a week for a hotel. As I stated before, that tax cut took away every single one of those deductions. Little stuff like that makes many people weary of conservatives.

May be time to bring back Puritan values.
You don’t work, you don’t eat.
Exceptions can be made for old and infirm but if you are able bodied and willingly not working, you probably need to be cut off from benefits.

Those are repeatedly told and educated that only one party will give them something for doing nothing, and that is their inalienable right to collect money for doing no work. The other party just desires slavery.

A lot of people are poor because they are stupid.

Most of them are like that because they are lazy , dumb and have no common sense.

You’re assuming the folks who are on government entitlements want to work.

Because they do not have the training to see through the media.
Those who believe the media vote democrat.
Those who believe the media vote democrat.

What, the “go to the emergency room, no one is refused there” argument? ER is not for acute, debilitating diseases.

They will teach you that hard work pays off.
Do you understand how many people will do anything they can to not work hard for a single day, much less on an ongoing basis?
These people will vote (maybe) for the handouts and DGAF about policy.

The GOP <> Conservatives.
The GOP campaign as conservatives but once in office, they sell out their constituents but representing the interests of multi-national companies -- most of whom have moved their manufacturing out of the USA. Thus, our small town are dying all over the country. In this way, the poorest are right not to vote GOP as these are the people outsourcing blue collar jobs and keeping them poor.
The sad thing is there are very few politicians these days that will truly represent the average American.

They will cut your entitlements.
They will make you work.
Their wreckless attempts to cut spending by cutting funding will result in serious reductions of services your family utilizes or just make those services function far shittier.

Why do the Russians keep electing Vlad Putin? People often don't do what makes sense. They like to be led and get stuff from the other guy.

Guess who compromises the most participants on welfare ? And second most?
1. White - 43%
2. Latino - 28%
3. Black - 23%
Muh systemic racism must be the reason for the disproportionate numbers on welfare.
