How's it working out? Today LA had the largest positive test count of the month. Was EBR exempt from that spike? If so, how can we ever go without a mask ever again in our life? If not, what's the next step? Full hazmat suits?

It’s because masks spread the virus more. JBE is literally killing us.

It's shutting down businesses in BR. No one wants to bother with wearing a mask to go to restaurants, etc.

also:

Your very breath ...provides warm bacterial moisture. Plus, the moisture helps many particles actually stick to and collect on the mask.... perfect breeding ground for germs, bacteria, and viruses

I know this is sarcasm aimed at making fun of red necks but a study came out and showed that a continuously reused cloth mask actually increases your chance of catching the virus if continuously worn all day and not properly sterilized.

And only 5 deaths and 4 in Caddo Parish . Number of reported cases is like number of First Downs, don't really manner

I wonder where he found one that size.
Looking closer, it’s too small for him.

I haven't worn one. That said, I politely leave without argument if/when a business asks me to do so because I know it isn't their mandate. But until someone can articulate exactly what goal we are trying to accomplish with these "mandatory masks" edict other than the arbitrary and nebulous goal of "stopping the spread", I have no interest in inconveniencing myself for an indefinite time period.

In other words, tell me what metric/baseline/data point are we looking to reach signify when we no longer have to walk around with a piece of cloth/paper over our mouths? Or is the only data point which allows us to return to normal life no cases of the virus at all? That's simply not happening. The virus isn't going to just disapear even if we ALL wore masks all the time. So until you can tell me the data point which signifies the acceptable level of risk to return to normal life, you can take my mask and stick it up your arse. I'm not going to do something for indeterminate period of time that is SOLELY subject to the whims to a do nothing mayor

I really haven’t been paying much attention, but except for one trip to Wal-Mart, I haven’t been out in public. I have to wear a mask at work now. Which is dumb. My interaction with the public is minimal. I just use a gaiter that I can slide up and down easily. I have no idea how this is going to play out. The state is reporting the number of cases, but I don’t believe that is truly reflective of the severity (or non-severity) of the situation.

ONLY if you vote the "right" way. Otherwise, it continues indefinitely until people stop giving a shite about it.

It's a hostage situation
