Why are people so upset about tearing down giant participation trophies?

I feel like this site taught me that participation trophies are a big part of why the youngest generation sucks. So why are baby boomers so upset about losing Confederate participation trophies?

Like the Vietnam Memorial?
The bravery and gallantry of soldiers, regardless of the cause, can be admired. The outcome of the war does not diminish the men who fought and died.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but it hasn’t exactly stopped with Confederate things.

Cause Brentley's baseball participation trophy is alittle different then what some peoples ancestors gave for theirs. When Brentley takes a round through the chest for his then they'd fight for that too...... and the fact that they're not dumb and realize it's communists who are tearing them down.

Why do statutes upset you? All of those people are dead and have been dead for a very long time now.

It’s really sad that there are still statues of Indians when they lost and were on the wrong side of history

George Washington and Thomas Jefferson only participated in the formation of our country.
Sorry Bros, y'all got to go.

It's because the ones taking them down are a mob and that mentality doesn't know how to stop. There is no rational thought of what is acceptable and what isn't. That is why you are seeing Lincoln, Washington, Jackson, Jefferson, (all winners) and Douglass (of all people) being attacked. Never give them an inch. Never show fear. Never bow. They'll hate you either way. So why choose to willingly let them walk all over you?

shite, Christopher Columbus won the Continental Championship outright and his trophy was smashed, too.

Thought process: Statues. Trophies. Participation trophies. Statues are participation trophies. Let me make a thread about this.

You seem to have a low moral compass and an attitude of “eh it doesn’t affect me”. The statues signify accomplishments of individuals that during that time period was significant. On the other hand, These people that want to tear everything down will eventually be at your doorstep and if not yours, it will be your kids and their kids. If these looting destructive fools hate America so much, then roll out. Go live a better life somewhere else.

Are you ok with a handful of people, without any authority, tearing down property that was paid for by public money?
If so, if I get a group together, of the same size, and we dislike something else, is it ok for us to tear it down, or does it have to fit your narrative?
As a civilized society, even those that want the statues removed, should demand that they are done with the correct process.

There is honor in fighting nobly but losing to an much more powerful side. Not exactly what a participation trophy is bruh
