I'm in Ponchatoula and It's just now showing on the horizon.
You're actually about to catch a separate storm but it's not far behind it.

Wedgewood off O’Neal Lane was rumbling for a bit about 20 or so minutes ago. Low clouds doing crazy dance and red oak tree tops were twisting in different directions just a street apart.
Told the wife to get out of her recliner. No time for a nap. Dog was going nuts and slobbering all over the wood floors. I even got a tad nervous.
Excitement is over now. But was dicey for a bit.
A now waiting for on the dust.

Where’s the rain?? -Mid city
I left my office downtown around 2:20 and it was mostly fine. It had recently rained, but nothing crazy. Went through LSU to get home and it was super dark and windy/raining with tree branches flying everywhere. Like a different world 2 miles away.
Glad I came home. My patio furniture was flying around.

I did. I work in the area and live on 73 north of 10, but I was out of town when it hit.

Lucky haha. I've always been fascinated by tornadoes, but I surely can do without experiencing it that close again.
