That's kind of surprising because it seems like they are always trashing LSU and elevating Alabama or UGA.

Brandon Marcello is clueless when it comes to LSU & the talent they have. Heard him on a Saturday down south pod. I think he's an Auburn or Miss St guy.

Two points:

1-DS is very good but there is some room for improvement. He will get even better
2-Mac, why? Because he plays for Bama? He may not even be their starter after a few weeks

I disagree, Stingley changes your entire defense, takes away the other teams best WR and your risking a TO every time you throw his way..... We saw this year a great offensive scheme can get WRs open but Chase is probably my favorite lsu wr ever....we have the best off and def player in the country

While I agree George Pickens showed some signs of being an elite player.....He hasn't garnered that ranking at all.

I don’t get his accolades for Moses either. You never see him make a great one on one play the way White and Queen did so many times. The very strong Bama defensive line bottled up a running back and he would go jump on the pile and get credit for a tackle.

He was completely useless in their playoff games 2 years ago

Not sure how Terrace Marshall and Tyler Shelvin didn’t make the other list of the Top 30 they put out. Jacoby Stevens rightfully did however.

Wouldn't be surprised if Damone Clark had a better year than Moses

And yet the pundits think we will have a significant drop off. Lsu will challenge for the sec and national titles for the foreseeable future

For years all LSU needed was a good QB with the rest of the talent on the team To compete for national championships. Now that LSU had an all time great QB everyone seems to forget that the rest of the team is super talented.

LSU’s defensive front and DB’s this year will be good enough to shut down anyone. The linebackers, while unproven, will be helped tremendously by the depth and experience in front and behind them. A great d line can make an average LB group look good.

Brennan just needs to be good. Doesn’t need to be Joe Burrow great.

Well deserved. Stingley may be the best defender in CFB period

It would be great if we could make a push his Junior year and get him a Heisman.

I believe they are looking at what these players are expected to be in the 2020 season, not on the past seasons. So based off of that it is hard to argue that Moses and Smith aren't top 10 players in the SEC in 2020.

So we're supposed to ignore the fact that he is coming off a serious knee injury? One that caused him to miss the entire 2019 season. He had a completely average 2018 season His inclusion as a Butkus finalist was a joke and ONLY because he received significant attention because he played for Alabama. His stats weren't overly impressive, at all. For example: He had 37 LESS tackles than D. White...despite playing in 1.5 more games than White. Hell, he had less tackles that Jacob Phillips. He wasn't in the top 20 in the league in tackles for loss. He wasn't even in the top 4 in that category on his own damn team! He had less sacks than Grant Delpit. He defended a grand total of ONE pass and forced a remarkable ONE fumble.

He may have a great 2020 season. He may end up being an All American. But there is almost nothing except for unsubstantiated hype to say he is, or for sure will be a top 10 player.

And Chase cannot be covered by one guy without taking a serious risk of giving up 7 points from anywhere on the field. When Clemson's defense had us on the ropes we got off the ropes by throwing to Chase in single coverage.
