Villains in kids movies that are menacing and not cartoony

The bad guy in Blank Check stands out. I hate when they dumb down villains for kids films like 3 Ninjas.

Imagine watching this when you were in single digits.
I bet this terrified many kids back in the day.

Ursula in The Little Mermaid. Her and her eels scared me to death as a child.

Not a cartoon but this a-hole gave me nightmares for years.

Return to Oz is nightmare fuel from the jump.
It starts with Dorothy getting electric shock therapy b/c her family thinks she's gone insane, there's a witch princess who collects heads like they are hats, rock monsters whose king will turn your arse into an ornament, a desert that will turn you to dust if you touch it, and a bunch of nut balls with wheels for hands and feet who laugh maniacally like they were some sort of Joker spawn. On top of all that, it's somehow a Disney movie so most parents didn't think twice about showing it to their kids not realizing it goes way harder than the classic musical.

I'm not sure if Legend was a kids movie, but we were allowed to watch it as kids, even at school.
This guy was certainly not cartoony.

A lot of Disney movies I think would fall into this category.
Scar from Lion King.
Gaston from Beauty & the Beast did have his goofy moments but was pretty menacing at the end.
Jafar from Aladdin.
etc.
