I've said it before, and I'll say it again: No company pulling in billions of dollars in profits should pay a lower tax rate than firefighters and teachers.

It's time for Amazon to pay its fair share.

We pay every cent owed. You spent 3 decades in the Senate & know that Congress wrote these tax laws to encourage companies to invest in the US economy. We have. 500k jobs w/ a min wage of $15/hr across 40 states. Assume your complaint is w/ the tax code, not Amazon.

Joe has no idea what direction he wants to take his outrage.

he just knows he has to be outraged to be viable.

Biden an idiot. You can’t make every cow a villain and expect them to continue giving you milk.

He’s so fricking stupid. How can someone, without shame, actually admit to supporting this fricking moron?

Amazon pays an incredible amount of taxes including payroll and inventory etc. This faux outrage of “evil corporations” that employ thousands is just pure stupidity.

The argument that Amazon doesn’t pay enough taxes is ridiculous - how much payroll taxes do they pay on 500k+ employees making $15+/hr? Not to mention how much income tax revenue do their employees pay and how much sales tax revenue do those employees generate with the purchases? And then property taxes and real estate value increases? Also sure y’all of the things amazon buys and pays sales and property taxes on??

Would love to know what businesses contribute the most tax revenue directly and indirectly - amazon is surely close to or at the top.

Why are y'all acting like Joe wrote that tweet? Some soy saturated social media director with square rimmed glasses wrote that tweet.

The real Joe is locked in his basement playing scrabble with a coat rack.

Just in wages if all employees made $15/hr the payroll would be $15.6B annually minimum

Is this the thread where a bunch of conservatives defend “muh free market” and multi-national corporations that export manufacturing and import cheap labor?

It's always good when the Left begins fighting against other parts of the Left.

Crooked life-long politicians made the rules that Amazon and others are playing by.

Amazon should have said 'Don't hate the playa, hate the game".

And the coat rack is winning. First word, malarkey.

Yes, those corporations have no agency whatsoever.
