Disclaimer... I thought Ed O was the wrong hire. I wanted Herman, Jimbo, you name it. I was sitting in the stands in Tiger Stadium when Florida beat us in 2016 and Orlando, in the freezing rain, when Notre Dame beat us. The program was heading in the wrong direction because LES MILES refused to adapt.

Enter Joe.

Had Joe not come we would have had Justin McMillon as our starter. Brennan simply wasn't big enough for SEC play.

With McMillon as our starter you're looking at a 6-6 season, which most experts were predicting. Joe took us to 10-3 with only a summer to prepare(should have been 11-2).

Fast forward one year and we witnessed the greatest season any QB or team has EVER had and it's not close. Guess what though? It isn't over because Ed O has established LSU as a national brand. Now we don't have to rely on Louisiana talent like in the Les Miles days... We are recruiting nationally and have the pick of the litter.

We are in the Golden Era my friends. Enjoy

Ed O saved it by bringing in Burrow, that’s what a top recruiter gets you.

I will eat crow. I thought there was never a chance in a million years we won a NC with Coach O. While he may never be a top flight offensive mind or defensive genius, he saw what Joe Burrow and Brady could do together, and he won us a NC.

Imagine that. A rantard that was wrong. Who would have thought it.

Don't lie, 95% of Tiger Nation was ecstatic when "Tom Herman has accepted the LSU head coaching job" appeared on the ESPN ticker.

The more you look at the roster the more you realize that there is no reason why this team shouldn’t be right back in the playoff hunt this year. The skill positions are truly elite. You have 2 first rounders at receiver in Chase and Marshall. The best TE recruit in history who is a true generational talent. 3 stud Running backs. A ridiculous amount of speed at receiver with McMath (who will have a breakout year), Boutte, Palmer who will all play roles. The OLine has legitimate depth after just a few years ago having next to none. The defense switch to the 4-3 will be great for our current personnel. Secondary is elite, the defensive line depth is great especially on the interior. Clark, Cox, Brooks is a dynamic LB trio. This team is loaded baws and will go as far as the QB can take them.

In his defense Les got talent from all over

Kwon Alexander from Alabama
Pat Pete from Florida

I’ll tell you a little secret that not many people know. This dream of a year was created over three years ago. The plan was put into place and actually executed more effectively than expected. Burrow coming to LSU was only waiting on Meyer to screw him over. Of course this was expected by certain people and the contingencies were made to bring him here and bring in the spread.

At the time I thought the plan was bull shite but the guy telling me this was very reliable. So reliable that I told a few people the plan. Burrow was never named to me but it was a QB trained under Meyer and bringing in the Saints offensive guru to guide him.

Wait till you see Jabril Cox.

It’s true that our QB room was trash when he arrived.

He saved us, but we also saved him. We always knew what we could be with a great QB and he always knew what he could do with a great team. Thank O for bringing in Brady as well....that changed Burrows life.

To quote myself from the night he won the heisman

O and Burrow went all in and put their trust in one another as far as their careers were concerned it's why it's such a heartwarming story...

We have talent but my biggest concern is that we need REPS.
Teams with more experience will have an advantage even if with less talent. We need to get by the first few games.

With McMillon as our starter you're looking at a 6-6 season,

you have no fricking clue at what the record would have been...
