I am extremely shocked how many people from a predominately southern oriented website “know” people who died from a virus where only 0.02% of the nations population died where 42% of that 0.02% came from New York or New Jersey.......
It doesn’t add up at all from a statistical analysis

An 84 year old man that lived and never went to the hospital.
A nephew that was addicted to heroine for 9 years. Been sober for 2. Was in the hospital a few days but never in ICU. He's been back at work for two weeks now.
This shite can't be that bad.

Welll...
Louisiana has had 34k cases and Around 2500 deaths in a stat of 4.7 millions.
That’s about 7/1000 and it’s more concentrated in New Orleans, the most populated metro area in the state.

Yes.
A close friend of mine lives in London, and he and his buddies whom I also know to varying degrees do a ski trip to the Alps every March.
They picked Saint Anton am Alrberg this year which unfortunately ended up being the European superspreader event.
One of the crew of eight felt terrible on the last morning and flight home. They told him to stop being a pussy about a bad hangover.
All eight were infected. Three were symptomatic - the worst was the guy who felt bad on the flight home. He was laid up pretty good at home for 3 or 4 days. My close friend lost his sense of taste and smell for about a week but otherwise nothing.
All early 30’s and otherwise in good health.

Not to mention, this thread is asking who knows someone who had it. Lets wait to see the number of people who replies, estimate how many active members there are and see what that number looks like.
It is interesting that people's opinion differ based on whether or not they know of someone who had/has it.

It does look like i misread the title and this is simply people who “had” the virus, but it seems most responses are posters who know someone who died, so I am still perplexed by the statistical anomaly. I think people are counting the Facebook post of their neighbors barbers cousins crawfish suppliers girlfriend as someone they “know”
Downvote away fellow friends

Well I’ve known 5. Sister, her daughter and grandson. Sister exposed in ICU, niece at work at another hospital. All recovered, niece still can’t smell or taste. 2 others, both over 70. One passed away a few weeks ago, the other hanging on by a thread in ICU.
ETA -Forgot a group of clucking hens from my local watering hole all had it. Think that’s another 5-6. All recovered no major issues.

Sorry, I misunderstood the majority of tigerdroppings posters rolled dice in the 9th Ward during the week and played checkers in the park on the weekend
