My MIL...no symptoms at all apparently

My mom got it in Farmerville. She is 68 but in good shape. No real issues other than typical flu like symptoms but she did get short of breath for a few days. Strangely, my dad did not get it. A couple of people from my hometown in Monroe that I know got it. One was a friend of mine's dad that I used to work for in Monroe. He was in the hospital for over a month on a vent but luckily made it.
I think a bunch of people got it in early February and did not know that it was the virus so no way to confirm.

A large part is Facebook keeping social networks wider than before. If someone just out of your inner circle gets it, you're likely to know immediately (for instance, a cousin's in-laws). This is something you'd find out about in an instant now, whereas in a pre-social media world, you may find out about it at Thanksgiving or through a rumor mill a few months down the road.
If one of the guys that was on my submarine got it, with the help of Facebook, I would now know. These guys are closer than acquaintances, I've drank all over the world with them. But, in a pre-social media time, with us spread all over the country, we honestly would not be all that likely to be in any kind of contact now.
With that said:
I'm at (1) Delta flight attendant (mid-30's female - recovered) and (2) a 42yo, 350 husband of a close high school friend. Both I've talked to within the past year, but honestly would not have known (yet) about either, as I've only been in direct contact with a few people during the lockdown.

I had a friend who got it in Sun Valley (Idaho). Very mild case.

Several of my sister's coworkers and all fully recovered.
One of my coworkers thinks she had it. Had all the symptoms, but it was before they knew it was here. She tested negative for the flu. Said it was the sickest she has ever been. Fully recovered.
One of the guys in our London office had it. Fully recovered.

Everyone I know "definitely had it in january or february"
On Feb 26th, I started a 100.5 fever, went to the doctor and tested negative for strep & flu, they sent me home with a Zpack and got 2 shots. I was symptom free after 3 days and was able to get back to my 5 day/week workout/running plan within 14 days of the 1st fever. I never had respiratory distress or congestion of any kinds, just fever aches and chills.

My close friend lost his sense of taste and smell for about a week but otherwise nothing.
This is the weirdest thing for me. The news out here interviewed a guy that works in our building. He said he lost his sense of smell and taste for a few days and had a slight fever but he was ok.
He has fully recovered.
