I know 4 people.
3/4 died. One was an older man, son was taking care of him and they both ended up dying a few hours apart.

74 year old great uncle had it, got no medical attention and recovered in Terrebonne parish

First cousin and her husband. He was sick as shite, stayed in bed & recovered in less than a week. She tested positive but didn't get sick. That's all I've got.

I personally know 3 people who tested positive. All in their mid-40s with no known pre-existing conditions. Two recovered (one with lingering cardiac symptoms) one died.

Grammar school died from it

Yes, a couple of people in my industry did. The younger one fought it, and the older one succumbed to it.

One guy in my office that sits maybe 20 feet from me. He just had a bit of a fever...in his 30s. So we figure most of us in the office have been exposed, but no one else showed any symptoms at all.

I am extremely shocked how many people from a predominately southern oriented website “know” people who died from a virus where only 0.02% of the nations population died where 42% of that 0.02% came from New York or New Jersey.......
Two of the people I knew who had it and survived lived in Tennessee. The one who died lived in New York. Believe it or not, many people who live in the south actually know people who live in other regions.

Covid ran wild through Tuscaloosa in January.
I thought that was LSU Derangement Syndrome.

That is still only .02% of this country, with the majority coming form New York City
Hmmm... you must have failed at math.
100,000/330,000,000 = .0003% or 1 in 3300.

I know someone who died of it. Mid 50s and seemingly in perfect health. My first thought was that something had to have been wrong that he just didn’t know yet or didn’t tell everyone about.

A 32 year old female died at work a couple weeks ago. Supposedly she had an autoimmune disease.
Do you work at glenwood? Saw a pretty young nurse there passed from it

Never got the CV19 nose swab but tested positive for the antibody.
Had a "sinus infection" type illness in January and 5 days of fever in late March, so one, if not both of those were the Rona.

My MIL tested positive for it. She ran a slight fever with no other problems and recovered pretty quickly. She is 98 years old and she says it's going to take something a lot worse than that to put her in the ground. Tough old lady right there.

I'm sure when they've had more time, the scientific community working on this will find that there were certain factors that made it worse for some that were seemingly healthy with none of underlying factors we know now, but they just don't know what those are yet.
My wife's 33 year old sister had it pretty bad. Was very sick for about 2 weeks - waves of high fever, chest pain, trouble breathing, migraine like headaches, etc. Thought she was over it for about 4-5 days, then got pneumonia for about a week. Recovered at home for all of it, but she has no known underlying issues that we know of that would cause it to have been that bad. She's about month out of it and is still having some breathing issues.
