Fat Lever. Before his injury, dude was a triple double threat every game, as well as very good defender. He's in the top ten all time for Nuggets rebounds as a point guard, as well as #2 in assists and first in steals per game. But nobody ever mentions him as one of the elites because his career wasn't quite the same after the injury, he played for the Nuggets, and he played the same time as Magic.

Jason Kidd as well.

Completely changed his game as he got older and ended up in the top 10 in made 3-pointers when he retired after not really having a jumper coming into the league
He still never really had a dependable jumper as he got older. He's career FG% of 40% and sub 40% from 3. He's only had two seasons from which he shot above 40%. One of which (46%), was on only 2.5 attempts per game. He just was as efficient of a shooter as the all-time 3pts made list would make one think.

You need to read this article to understand why Wilt isn't the GOAT. LINK
Basically, Wilt's volume scoring had a very negative effect on his team offenses. The more he scored, the worse his team's offenses performed. His teams never ranked higher than 4th (in a 9 team league) in offensive rating during the first seven years of his career and there were several seasons when his team's offenses ranked in the bottom of the league. It was only when he greatly reduced his scoring during the second half of his career that his team's offenses performed at a high level. OTOH, players like Jordan, LeBron, and Kareem were also high volume scorers but had a much more positive impact on their teams.

Jamal Crawford-love his game
Fun when his iso game was cooking and that behind the back cross was filthy, but he was a chucker along the lines of Kobe. He was never a very efficient player and not as good of a 3pt shooter as some would think.

It may be Dirk as strictly a basketball player.
I think Charles Barkley is still under appreciated as an NBA player/personality.
Jordan, Shaq, Barkley, and Lebron are easily the most influential players in modern NBA history.
I think Shaq and Barkley are the greatest entertainers due to the personality they brought to the NBA along with superstar play. In the end we are all watching the NBA to be entertained.

Moses Malone
Feels like he is always overlooked a bit.

Part of the reason why is that Wilt was known to be a stat chaser while Russell got the better of him when it counted. He played 48.5 mintues a game not because he had to, but because he wanted to.

Over their entire career, Wilt averaged 28ppg and 28 rpg against Russell. He has 55 rebounds against Russell in a single game.
I'm tired of hearing

In his first stint in Philly (with the Warriors) Wilt had to score 35-40 for them to win. With the Sixers and Lakers, he could play more defense, rebound and pass the ball, because he had more help.

Playing an integral role in winning rings matters.
There may be context and it may not be the be all and end all, but would Michael Jordan be looked at the same with zero championships? Of course not.
I've been vocal in saying LeBron at least has an argument for GOAT, but I wouldn't be if he had zero rings. It doesn't mean everything, but it does mean something.

This might sound a bit strange, but I think many people today don't quite appreciate how good Barkley was in his prime. They see him as more of the chubby clown TV personality than the elite player he was.

I’m not saying this just because of the Bulls doc, but it’s Kukoc. If his prime would have been 10-15 years later we would look at him a lot differently. He was like a hybrid of Dirk and Lamar Odom - a good scorer with above average handle and passing for a PF. He belongs in the HOF based on his euro and international merits alone, but he was the 6th man of the year on the greatest team of all time and was the second scoring option multiple times during his time there. This doc is MJ heavy but Kukoc was so important to the 2nd championship run.

Allen Iverson no top 50 player ever had worse supporting cast in their prime.
If he played today on a spread pick and roll on a team like the Blazers or Rockets he would average close to 40 ppg

Iverson is tricky. His fg percentage is bad but he had to do so much because his supporting cast sucked

They say if Sabonis would have come to the NBA before his injuries he would have been a HOFer.
Duncan is the greatest PF of all time but he was "boring" and played in a small market. He's much better than Shaq or Kobe.
Shawn Marion was underappreciated imo. Dude did it all.
Vlade Divac only made one all start team but dude was a very good player.
Mitch Richmond spend a decade in Sacramento on awful teams.
Dale Ellis would have been lethal in today's game with the way 3 pointers are emphasized.
Alvin robertson was a superstar that most current fans probably don't know much about.
