I've looked at the JBL charge 3 and 4 and also the sony xb41. The charge 4 seems to be larger than the three and has a longer battery life but the 3 apparently has a better sound and you can take phone calls on it(this is not a deciding factor for me). Does anyone have any other suggestions or like one of the ones I suggested more than the others? TIA

I have the JBL Flip 3 and really like it a lot, very good for the price.

I like my Bose Soundlink II a lot but I'm not an expert in speakers.

I've had a JBL Charge 3 for several years and like it. Can't comment on the others.

Yeah, it’s hard to beat for the price and what it does.

I have an Ion Tailgater Express. Water resistant, compact, and great sound for the money. I got it for $50 in an Amazon clearance.

ETA: Amazon link - $80

I'm not a big Bose fan for most things, but they dominate the portable bluetooth speaker market in sound quality.

The Bose Soundlink Revolve

My idiot cousin left one on top of my uncle’s car and took off down the road. It’s got a big arse dent in it now, but it’s just as loud as ever.

My Sonos Move blows my Bose Soundlink Mini II out of the water. It’s bigger and heavier, but the sound is truly incredible.

I mean, one's a $400 speaker and the other is $150.

We have an Ecoxgear. It’s kinda big but it has wheels and we love it.

I have a UE Boom that hasn't been charged in like 2 years and has survived both summer and winter sitting outside in bright sunshine and torrential rain - as well as being dropped on concrete repeatedly.

I have no idea how it sounds compared to other BT speakers (I have Sonos everywhere else and it's obviously inferior to that), but to me it's magic.

I have a UE Boom 2 and it's good sound quality and battery life. You can link multiple together which works well for tailgating, beach trips, and other outdoor get togethers since a few friends also have it.
